One observation with 28232. You can't shut off the wifi.

I don't have the wifi problem - it turns on and off just fine via the wireless manager in settings/connections.

The only issue I have so far is the large icons in camera.

23102 was fast and stable. The later 235**'s have threaded email.

23529 is working fine for me.

There really are no capability differences. I think Lioryte said 235** seems to be more app friendly, but I've never had an issue. They are just different branches making different roms. One may be focusing on updating speed while another focuses on IE, etc, etc.

For the purpose of picking something stable. Just keep checking back and reading people's reviews. Trial and error is always best and for me, like I said before, I always go with the same setup, same programs, same home screen layout.

Sorry didn't have that much time to look into 28232, it's all new release. I'll try to post 23541 tonight as per Da_G the "sleep of death" issue should be resolved.

Have been testing 28232 today,with some stability issues. When installing my cabs with sashimi, had to restart and continue 3 times using the same set of cabs that always use.

Never before had any issue installing cabs with sashimi on a Lioryte ROM. I always format My Storage before starting the cabs install.

Video on CorePlayer was distorted. Camera worked fine for photos and playing video. Like 23102, camera text in portrait shows up bold. Landscape is OK.

Very good speed, a little faster than 23102.

23102 has better battery life.

I will format My Storage again, Reflash and install everything again to test for an improvement.

I'm on 28223, its the first ROM I ever flashed on my OMNIA! Its exciting, and I went with 28223 based on peoples responses. It seems very fast and stable, except for a few little bugs I found:

1.) Cannot modify sound settings until you add a ringer to the /windows/rings folder

2.) cannot click OK to a few menus such as GPS location unless you map OK/ Close to a hard button

3.) GPS will not get a lock, but this might be my GPS chip is bad since I never got a lock with stock ROM.. what are people using for settings that is working? I'm on Com8 software, hardware comport always resets to NONE no matter what I do. In google maps I set it to use automatic and manual com8 4800 but never gets any gps signal.. not a big deal cause location works on cell towers now, which it never did before.

4.) text messages windows get slower and slower as u accumulate texts.. I restored my thousands of txts from my old rom and when I tried to load the txt window it just froze for like 5 minutes. once I cleared my txt folder (the delete took 10 minutes) its really fast, but it sucks cause now i need to delete messages every month or 2. I liked having the history..

5.) There is no call lock built in, and the ones I tried so far (autolock, smartlock) do not quite get the job done. Autolock was buggy as crap and locked my phone whether i was on a call or not (yes I adjusted the settings) and smartlock only locks ONCE so if u need to unlock to use the keypad during a call, it will never re-lock. Also it will not lock when I get a call and use S2U2 to answer the call, but if my phone is already unlocked and i get a call it works. What lock app have people used that works better?

6.) Internet explorer crashes on certain websites, like weather.com I get crazy errors and sometimes it shuts down.

7.) Someone sent me an MMS pic msg, and now my inbox is forever stuck saying I have 1 unread message! I cannot get rid of it, there is no message to read. I select all messages in my inbox and it says 65 of 66 selected, 1 unread.. I just clicked SELECT ALL!? :(

8.) OH this is a wierd one - I CANNOT install apps to my storage! It simply does NOT place anyfiles in the Program files folder! Then as soon as I restart the phone the App link fails to work as there is no program files installed.. If I install to my device it works fine.

Now for the good... vs OEM omnia rom, this thing is amazing...it looks much better, menus are more intuitive, scrolling is SO much better its crazy. Battery life is about the same as OEM, I'll get 2 days if i use the phone lightly, 1 day if I'm hammering apps / music / txt / calls. LOVE fingerkeyboard for txting! Blows anything else I've ever used away, except an actual physical keyboard of course.. LOVE the extra free space! Like 172 to start, I used about 48 which would pretty much max out my omnia before and I still have 125 left free!!

P.s. in case anyone cares, I'm using my omnia on the Pageplus service which is verizons network @ $30 a month. I heard some people say WM6.5 didnt work on pageplus but I am proof that it does. Well this build does anyway..

Sounds like AGPS trying to locate you, rather than satellites. FWIW, I'm running 28223 and my settings are "managed by windows". Works fine, but does take 3-5 minutes to get first satellite lock.

Why did you try to change the MMS settings? The only thing you can do is screw it up. Default = good.

That's something new! Where were your ringtones stored....device, storage card? Did they accidentally get moved to a different location, somehow?

They were in windows/ringtones. Seams they are still there but will not ring. I did a restore from pim and they are working again.

Is the cab for google maps on post 2 4.0 or is it an older version? If it is an older version is the 28223 rom compatible with 4.0? I am new to this so sorry if this is a stupid question, I just wanted to try out the new buzz feature.

Ok I'm still battling with the auto dial pad locks... none of the ones posted on post 2 work for me.. the system seems to have a decent lock function built in, reminds me of my gfs LG Dare locker. I'm not sure if this came with the ROM or if I installed it with "Smartlock" .. anyway, is there a way to enable the auto call locker function? When I do this through the menu options, it does not work for incoming or outgoing calls. None of the downloaded lock programs seem to work consistently either! I adjust their settings and they work maybe a few times then stop working an hour later (smartlock), or they are buggy and inconsistent (the other 3).. I'm thinking it might be due to the fact that Lioryte has enabled a non-default dialer? Is there a way to enable the default dialer so that the call locking function works again as it should? Even the OEM 6.1 rom had a decent dial pad locker..

This is driving me crazy as I keep hitting buttons with my face! :(

Wow I am on 23518 and have no reason to update because I have no problems at all and everything is working perfectly. I am not one to flash just to be flashing, can anyone tell me a reason to flash to 28223 which from reading the thread is the one I see the most positive post. Thanks again Lioryte for such great work, you saved me from upgrading for awhile. I am waiting for the HD2 on Verizon which might be a long wait since there isn't even a rumor yet, but with your rom that wait will be really easy.

I apparently must be the only one having this problem, or I missed the posts discussing it... I am using V23529 with MS Voice, TellMe and Office 2010 cooked in. It loaded great, but when I went to sync all of my stuff to the phone it would only sync 100 appointments at a time and then hang. I finally discovered that I could simply unplug the USB cable from the phone, and then plug it back in and it would charge on to the next 100 appointments. It took quite a while to download all of my appointments this way, though. I am using an Omnia i910 on Verizon. Is anyone else having this problem? Anybody ever hear of this happening and a solution?

Other than that, since I got it all synced up it has worked GREAT! Fast and stable so far.

I just reflashed this same rom again (V23529). This time, I synced the phone right away BEFORE loading any cabs, and everything from Outlook synced up without a problem. Is this how everyone usually does it? Sync things before loading apps and customizing? I don't know if that was the problem before, but it worked this time...FWIW

Great job on the roms, Lioryte. Fastest I've used so far, and seem to be stable (except for my messing around...). Keep up the great work!

No Idea, We were hoping for a few when the new branches came out 2500X and 2400X but no changes yet. I guess just speed for now

2. Yes this is being addressed with the new release notes

3. i910 GPS chip is a piece of %&!!! If I'll switch before I'm due it's because of it. Best thing to get a cold lock is to go out, let the phone look up the satt. ETA anytime between immidiate (when you don't need GPS) and 20 min (When you really need it). After that it gets better with a lock in the 1-10 min frame

4. I don't know I don't accumulate text, regardless this is not a ROM issue

5. Autolock works great for me locking the phone when I pick it up and unlocking when I put it horizontally.

6. Sorry I don't use IE I use opera or skyfire, I'd take it out if it was possible but it's integrated too deep. Again I don't touch it remember these builds are leaked beta versions

7. Sorry I don't get the question- my MMS works fine

8. I don't know how to help you on that one either I never had this issue before this might be a hardware issue

Actually I enable the WM default dialer (with a skin) and took out the Samsung one that had the call lock option. I use AutoCallLocker which locks the phone based on what position the phone is at. I just noticed there is no samsung dialer option in post 2 I'll make a cab later on

autocalllock is for the default wm dialer try it it's a cool app IMO. If I switch it'll be to...I don't know yet I wanna wait to see wm7. right now it looks like android i get good feedbacks from adryn and bw with their droid... i ain't a big htc fan
