autocalllock is for the default wm dialer try it it's a cool app IMO. If I switch it'll be to...I don't know yet I wanna wait to see wm7. right now it looks like android i get good feedbacks from adryn and bw with their droid... i ain't a big htc fan

in the same boat. have an upgrade since december, but nothing out currently fits what i want - an omnia with the latest android OS. i hate physical keyboards - they are useless and extra weight.

it is just my opinion and while there are those that have no issues, i'd suggest passing on the moto droid - unless you really hate HTC or have a strong desire to have a physical keyboard on your next device.

i'm currently holding out for one of two HTC touch only android devices set for spring release (rumored only), but i'm sure by then the next best thing will be on the horizon and i'll be sitting on my omnia til the end of the year.

winmo7 looks like a webOS spinoff and the whole point of winmo was to have a "familiar" experience on your smartphone - similar to that of your PC. i'm betting fail for the first round.

Regarding autocalllock is a good idea but it fails me for the following reasons:

Accelerometer does not seem to distinguish between verticle or horizontal tipping - so there is no setting that seems to work where you can have it against your ear and it locks at that angle, tipped slightly sideways, then when you take it off your ear and try to press the keypad at a slight tipped back angle but its not tipped sideways at all, its still locked as it only sees 'tip angle' and doesnt care which way its tipped. So you basically need to tip the phone flat on the table to unlock it.

Then the photosensor idea is cool, but it fails to work under all light situations unless you adjust the intensity. So if you calibrate it to work in daylight it will not work correctly at night in the dark.

I'd like one that is just a simple 'lock the phone after 5 seconds while on a call. period.' and you have to hit the hard button to unlock it. Thats how the default 6.1 dialer lock worked and I never had a problem with it.

ANYWAY.. I heard from a guy who is in 'the biz' that Samsung will be releasing an awesome Android phone, and to wait for that.

I finally flashed to 23529 with VC & TellMe and I'm loving it! Thanks Lioryte!

One question. All of the titanium panel captions are in all lower case. How do I change "e-mail" to "E-mail", and so on?

I tried using in CHome Editor > Menu > Manual Edit Item Values > CEmail > LocName... but it already says "Email" with no dash, so that's not what's showing on the Titanium home page. I swear I've done this before with another ROM, but cannot remember. I also tried looking in the registry, but that shows the same "Email" value.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use "Showcase", once it's installed you don't even know it's there. X closes apps by default, but I think there is other options, possible reg edits available.

Anyone having any problem running pandora on these roms? I am running 28230 w/Tell me, Office, etc. and I have been running it for a few weeks now. It has been great, no problems. Until, I finally tried Pandora and it doesn't run. I get a C++ error message. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone running it on the latest rom 28232 or 28233? Other than this one issue, this rom has been flawless for me.

i flashed the 28232 w/tellme and such cooked in, and I tried to reboot after installing a few things and I couldn't get it to boot again. It was probably due to what I installed, so I went to 23529.

What is the purpose of the Windows screen when you boot up 23529 saying "tap the top taskbar to start"? It appears to start if I don't tap it. I don't see a difference whether I tap it or not, actually. Does it DO something?

Also, I flashed the 23529 with Office 2010 cooked in, and it appears that it won't view pdf's. Has anybody else noticed this? Is there some gain to using Office 2010 over the previous Office? What do other people use to view pdf's? Is it possible to roll back to the previous Office on this rom?

For .PDFs, I use Adobe Reader LE. It's in Lioryte's cab repo. Performs very well.

As for the "Tap the top taskbar" thing, it's been on every ROM that I can remember.

If it boots, don't sweat it. If it hangs at the boot screen, TAP IT!

Looks nice, it uses modified titanium plugins for the sense look. It includes around five or six plugins,if I remember well, after them you add just regular plugins.

Also, there is no landscape support.

I hope you get an answer as this question has been asked several times. I am awaiting some assistance as well. Either no one knows or they think it is a stupid question. I for one think no question is stupid, how else are you going to learn.

If I'm not mistaken, landscape doesn't work well with any of the M2D type UI's correct? (at least, that's the impression I've gotten for any of the ones I've seen or heard of)

I used SPB mobile shell for quite some time, which I liked, but even that didn't have the best of landscape support. Especially if you modified it to look the way you wanted it to look.

Really, I'm just out to make my phone just a bit lighter since I am/was well aware of the extra resources that SPB mobile shell took up, so I figured a M2D and/or Sense type UI would be just a bit less of a resource hog.

Ok....I'm a newbie, I flashed to 28223 and installed the M2D with lioryte background cab, but M2D does not launch. Also, is it me or is there no All Programs option? I'm new to 6.5 so maybe I just don't know where to look.
