Well I'm downloading 28014 right now. I was running v11 but I tried installing SPB Skins on to it... got a black screen with "error" written in the middle after start up, nothing else except the top taskbar. Guess I screwed that one up! ;)

Gonna flash to v12 right now and start over I guess

Version 12 seems very stable so far. I've been running it all day today with zero issues. I have not installed SPB mobile shell yet, not sure if I will right now I don't want to mess anything up. Although the basic today screen for WM 6.5 is kinda lame (not your fault) and I miss having shortcuts right there on my main layout. Who knows what tomorrow brings ;)

Very nice rom Storm. I flashed my backup phone with it and so far its fast and stable. Haven't found 1 issue yet with anything.

I was the kind of the same way....

I thought SPB was the best thing since slice bread but after flashing a few time SPB then grew stale to me.

Nothing wrong with SPB don't get me wrong , but I felt constrained by the MS3 format.I guess I grew to favor the flexible screen of the cooked rom's especially Storm's somewhat basic rom. It has stuff but not to much fluff.

As far as having your shortcuts accessible I have been trying an using a small program called Launchpad.

You click on the top left of your screen and your favorites,that you have setup appear.Its a pretty basic program but after using it for awhile I have grown to depend on it.

OH...by the way I have to inform you that you are showing signs of the early stages of a

FLASHAHOLIC ;)

I have a problem with wifi. It keeps disappearing even though I don't have wmwifirouter installed. When uncheck the power saver setting for wifi it comes back but after a soft reset it disappears again. To get it back after the soft reset I check the same box in wifi power saver setting.

Any ideas?

Hey WareMike, Just wanted to let you know that the ROM was very responsive!! Very Sweet! I did have the issue of the WiFi just totally disappearing. Did a hard reset and got it back. I then read further and found out about the toggle "thing". I did notice that there was someone elses ROM out there that did it to, don't remember which one. Would love to try your ROM again when you get that bug fixed!! Thanks again!!

I've seen Launchpad, I was thinking of giving it a shot myself. I'm good with Storms ROM (for now lol) it works great. Nice job Rob!

I see you're in Inverness FL... I lived there for about a year like 15 years ago. Mt sister and her husband owned a Ice Cream and minature golf place there for quite a few years.

I love this ROM it runs smoothly and is put together very well but since i'm so indecisive i keep switching between this and touchflo. gah! curse my inability to be content.

You have done a great job with this ROM. Two great keyboards and not a lot of programs loaded. Very stable and fast. Any solution to the auto entry email not working? I did the regedit and still no worky.

You can always create a shortcut in your start menu to "wlanloader.exe". It is a hidden file so use something like Resco. When you run the app, it gives you two buttons, Unload Driver and Load Driver. Just click unload then load and wifi will be back.

Also sometimes a hard reset will correct the problem.

I've been using the 23511 ROM for a few weeks now and really have enjoyed it. I'm thinking of updating to the new 28014 ROM. Are there pros/cons for this move? Is it faster, more/less stable?

Another question, if anyone knows the answer...

I loaded the Ron Arad Orange theme from Lyorite's thread -- I like to have some color. The only problem is that some of the buttons are not shown or are messed up, however, they do still work... Does anyone know how to fix the buttons?

In this one, the lock button is messed up - it doesn't always look the same either...

In this one, the back button is messed up...

In this one, the menu button is just invisible, but it still works...

Using file explorer, when I press and hold on a file "open with program" used to allow me to choose the program to open the file with. I do not see that in this rom.

How do I get it back?

Hey Jaycarl,

Try out Resco file explorer it really gives you more option I think.

They have a trial version I liked it enough that i upgraded after a few flashes.

Rob - I've had some freezes on 28014 of late. Usually moving between apps - mail and IE in particular. Also - I was listening to music and could not get to the internet. I didn't think of trying to reproduce that (in case it was my location) before flashing another ROM. Just FYI. I haven't tried 23511 but the most stable for me was 28005. Thanks for your awesome work..

Not really sure what might be causing the freezes. I will look into it further and see what I can come up with.
