Guest AndrewTan Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) It works fine on OMNIA2 ! It is not working, after I install, it still same. How you able to made the 3D sms and email working on OMNIA II? Updates: Sorry it is working, I need to add new shortcut on it as 3D sms view. But how to make it auto use the 3D sms view at SMS and MMS view lei rather than standalone. Edited September 30, 2009 by AndrewTan
Guest bluhound Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 It is not working, after I install, it still same. How you able to made the 3D sms and email working on OMNIA II? Its not delected as default e-mail/sms app. Goto Launcher -> Messaging -> 3D Message Viewer. The design is unique but it is slightly sluggish and aliased. I guess its due to software rendering.
Guest tacchan23 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 In the end I installed SPB ms 3.5 very very late last night :P For sure they added many usefull functions and improved many aspects to make usage easier/quicker. BUT still it looks like 2 of the really important features I was hoping for are not there... a calendar widget with some kind of marks for appointments and the possibility to change/use bigger icons for widgets. :) So I still hope in PointSense further development soon :D

Guest conanloi Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 The 3D sms/mms is work fine on Omnia II. But for carousel, omnia II seen don't have 3D accelerator. Verified that It work on HTC diamond II. notice that some of the app for spb also not work well with Omnia II. Thinking should be the same problem with this. Maybe with some registry modified can work....... Anyone advise?

Guest conanloi Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Have. just press & hold the sms/mms icon, select default action > open 3D viewer Do you have the folding effect on sms/mms? Look at the picture @ my previous post! Not this: This is not 3D acceleration!!!
Guest FerdiBorbon Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I just tried the new SPBms 3.5...err not impressed, same as previous PointUI with point sense still looks more polished and quicker,
Guest kibiwi Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 the 3d sms/email works well the problem is to force the software to recognize the accelerometer...i know it's no an easy work... :)
Guest tim1979 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Hi All, I am having a issue with 2 set having same rom H3. Will have a lock up after opening contact on spb miss call/contact mode. Anyone facing this issue?
Guest La Traviata Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 There are a lot of tips for making the various features work over on XDA developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...97&page=418 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566045
Guest AndrewTan Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Have. just press & hold the sms/mms icon, select default action > open 3D viewer It is working but without the effect, no blending and semi reflection as well because the hardware acceleration cannot be on at OMNIA II.
Guest RodmanPT @ OMNIA Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I can't seem to use the twitter anda facebook widgets while using my GPRS connection, it only connects when wifi connection available, does anyone know how can I solve this, since I have GPRS always on and would like to have those services always available. Thank you
Guest conanloi Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 someone please write this issue to samsung develop members. ask them teach us to turn on accelerator.
Guest GinKage Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 It won't work yet, because MS3 uses GL v1 (and, should I say, in a very, very non-optimal way), and Omnia II only supports GL v2, which is a whole different thing. Also, MS3 uses some Qualcomm-specific functions, so it's not that easy to do even with a GL v1 emulation. Though, wait for a sneak peek of what it would look like on Omnia II later this week, I'll try to do something. :)
Guest TheBishop Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I've logged a Tech Fault with SPB regarding their support of the Omnia 2 hardware (G Sensor and 3D acceleration). So far had a nonsense reply but I'll keep nagging them. If they update their software then that's probably the best way to go with it!
Guest GinKage Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 TheBishop, well, I already wrote just one post above yours, why, whatever their reply was, it probably wasn't nonsense at all. For a casual user, like you, all you need to know is that your phone has some "magic" piece, a 3D accelerator, which is probably activated by a snap of fingers and some magic words. Well, it's nothing like that, in fact. Making any existing OpenGL ES 1.0 application work on Omnia 2 (which supports only OpenGL ES 2.0) requires total revision (or even almost full rewriting) of that app. But, yeah, probably that's nonsense for you, because you are not a developer... For the rest of you people, a promised teaser to keep you interested. Some special, street magic:
Guest inmatrixout Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 That's a really teaser!!! :)
