Replacing Singtel ROM

I have an Omnia II that was purchased in Singapore that has Singtel version of ROM on it. What is the best english ROM for me to replace this with? The versions it shows I have are I8000XXIH5, I8000XSOIH1, I8000DXIH2. I am relatively new to Windows Mobile so any help would be appreciated.

Hi, best is pretty subjective... there are many rom version shared here, u probably need to get your hands onto it and try out for yourself to know which version you prefer.

wow how can? my friend told me that he upgrade her Omni2 at SSC and he get XXH3. and he say thats the lastest version right now

The latest official rom now is H9; however it is not available for flashing at any SSC in Singapore. The one available for flashing at SSC is H3 while H5 was released on brand new set. Very minor differences over different rom versions, there is no best rom. Just find one that suit you is sufficient.

I installed H9 (taiwanese/english). I think I will wait for the Windows Mobile 6.5 version now.

Hi,

With H6 and H9 I had those problems :

- Erratic presence detection in communication (very disagreeable)

- Sometimes, hard to go back from standby (screen remain blank)

- Many soft reset due to frozen screen.

I came back to H5, then no more troubles !

However, I felt H6 & H9 (don't know what différence, exept 3 ?) more faster than H5 !

So, exept if you want to test by yourself, i suggest you to wait for WM6.5 relase (the one available here is only for chinese).

You already have the best one (my trial) !
