I hope I'm not the first one, but doing a search on Google shows that I might very well be the first person to encounter problem with the display!

As you know, the right top button switches the screen on/off. Just awhile ago, it failed to work. I took out the battery and re-inserted it, thinking it was software problem.

Alas! When I booted up my phone, colored pixels appeared on my screen slowly and steadily and then Windows Mobile splash screen without all the Samsung pre-animation.

Having successfully booted into the system, the screen went intermittent flash before going back on. Animations are choppy, then smooth.

Sometimes, trying to turn on the screen again results in colored pixels forming slowly and steadily before i get my screen, or its simply stuck at the pixelated screen unless i keep trying by turning it on/off.

Now, can I say this is hardware problem?

I have never dropped the phone, and I do not press hard on my screen for sure as I've been using touch screen phones for a long time already. Is it possible to solve this at our own level?

PS: Also, with the screen on, there's a line flickering on top of the screen intermittently.

I've had similar display problem. First the background went gray, then some

pixel lines at the top started flickering, finally the display went black with

tiny colored pixels at some places.

Had to send it back to get it repaired. Display was replaced, now everything works fine again.
