Is it possible to port TouchWiz 2.0?

I've posted my request to the main forum. Sorry for repeating but I hope that this ROM sub-furum is followed more regularly by our famous ROM cookers and Omnia experts. So, my humble wish (and I'm sure, I'm not alone) is as follows:

Since there are some apps already ported successfully from Omnia II to Omnia (like Midomi) I hope others are possible too.

I'd like to have the whole TouchWiz 2.0 on my Omnia I, with Main Menu and all other finger friendly apps.

I am strongly interested in having the TouchCalendar also, because it's better than WinMo's ordinary Calendar app.

So, dear experts, ROM chefs: please, help us by applying those apps for wqvga and making them avaible for us!

(I don't use cooked ROMs, I'd like to install it to DXID1.)

Thanks a lot in advance!

Short answer: no

Some apps are possible but correct me if I'm wrong, TouchWiz 2 relies heavily on 3d hardware acceleration to run smoothly. Even if it was ported to the Omnia it would lag like hell. If you'd like to have a snazzy 3d theme, give ThrottleLauncher a go (http://www.throttlelauncher.com/portal/). Mind you, most of the themes will lag quite considerably on the Omnia.

I will support your claim Billus, unfortunately the 3D support for omnia as a whole is pretty poor. Something to do with the type of OpenGL they used (I think). As a result, the resolution of TW2.0 and the necessary power required to make it churn would mean the omnia wouldn't be able to cope. If someone wants to prove me wrong however, be my guest :)

OK, I understand. The hardware of i900 possibly is not strong enough to run TouchWiz 2.0.

But what about some apps of Omnia II? I would love to use e.g. Touch Calendar on my Omnia!

I've downloaded the extracted TCalendar from here:

http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...ia-ii-apps-cab/

and it run on my device normally but it cannot be used because of the different resolution.

So, it should be applied for wqvga. Please, help!
