Anyone got a UK i8000 yet ?

I've had a OM2 ordered for the last two months from Hantecc and still haven't managed to get hold of the phone, despite various promises. I've got so fed up with them that i've cancelled the order. But i'm not able to find anyone who has the 8 gig version.

I was wondering is anyone has yet received a UK issued (not an import, but a UK phone supplied by Samsung UK) phone ?

If you have, is it the 2gig version ? or the 8 Gig ? Where did you get it from ?

i see from your other posts that you have a Hn ROM ... ie not a 6.5 ROM.

in other words, yours can't be an official UK phone but an import.

Or do i misunderstand your other posts ?

Acording to people like Clove/Expansys etc the only UK phones are 2 gig ....

its prob an international one then, however does not make any difference. It works on UK carrier signals, full English and works fine without any faults. Ill be loading the WM6.5 Rom tomorrow.

Agreed this is a problem! Last minute change of spec, and a deal-breaker for me.

Anyone ordered one from Play.com? Are they 8Gb? Did you have to pay customs fees and VAT on top of the £430?

I tried to find out from Play.com what version they had and I never got a reply. Got one from eBay Shop (supergps-uk) and they answered the phone and told me it was an 8GB version!!!! Quick delivery but is an import version. Looking to flash with UK ROM when one is available.

i've re-ordered with Total PDA ... their website says in stock, but it's not really (i hate websites that do that ... ok so the supplier has it but you don't ! just say in stock at supplier .. lol ) ... they claim mid to end next week for the 8GB version.

Lets see what turns up....

Why sell a 2GB version, I want the 16gb version but does not exists so want 8gb for the UK hopefully the Sim Free one (when released) will be 8gb.

I didnt want the 2gig but ive got an 8 gig card, So 10gig will do.

Works a treat , very happy with it ...only thing is im guessing its a international unlocked version , but guess that does not matter .

Was going to give them a ring to see what the warranty was like on this version but not got round to it yet .

Thanks for the feedback - wish I'd gone for this, rather than holding off for what turned out to be different hardware. The 16Gb O2 from the Netherlands turns out to be only the 8Gb + an SD card. And if the price point of that is £550, I'll wait till 32Gb microSD cards are available instead, so happy with a plain 8Gb for now, but 2Gb is an insult.

Ironically I'm in Korea for the next fortnight, where I could buy a T*Omnia, but nothing that would work in the rest of the world.
