Great news! There are now API's for:

- Radio -> Omnia TMC for I8000 :)

- Compass -> Google Maps with streetview like on iPhone or augmented reality apps like Layar?

- Proximity sensor -> Makes it possible to build apps like Hi 'n Bye in conjunction with the accelerometer

- Accelerometer -> port to all accelerometer apps already out there?

Still waiting for API's like

- OpenGL ES 2.0

- Soundpaths (for instance direct sound to speaker)

Not a programmer myself but I hope people who are will jump onto the I8000 bandwagon here :(
