Guest tacchan23 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 You can not remove it complitely from the ROM, you can just disble it: SamsungSetting - General Setting - Samsung TouchWiz UI

However I cannot disable it in WM6.5. Anyone can advise?

TouchWiz UI is not enabled in WM6.5 ROM. (it means you can access the standard WM Start Menu) And why is that related to editing registry? just launch your Registry editor application

Guest carreab Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 its support bro.. mr srog already use it :) don't u see his screenshoot? Which ver. used to be 6.5.1 for omnia ii? cheers.
Guest tacchan23 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Which ver. used to be 6.5.1 for omnia ii? cheers. you need to be able to cook your own ROM if you want to use wm 6.5.1 on Omnia2 so far there are no positive results yet other than Sorg, so I guess it's pretty difficult. :)
Guest sorg Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Which ver. used to be 6.5.1 for omnia ii? Seams you didn't get it. There is no official WM6.5.1 for Omnia. WM6.5.1 is in beta stage and not available for any phone officialy. As far as i know, WM6.5.1 will be released by Microsoft somwhere in feb 2010. So, after that time you may start to look for phones with WM6.5.1 (and that big bottom bar) in stores :)

Guest sys_error Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) its support bro.. mr srog already use it :) don't u see his screenshoot? Excuse me! It is sorg not srog, and is rude to keep on spelling it wrongly. Sorg is not willing to share to the mass public so STOP giving me the crap... i see you love to suck up to him, maybe he is willing to share it with you. Edited November 10, 2009 by sys_error

I cannot find this setting anymore. As I saw in youtube, before this "Samsung TouchWiz UI" Is located just under the "Language Change" Inside "SamsungSetting - General Setting" It's not there anymore. Thanks for the help !

In officially released WM6.5 roms TouchWiz is disabled already. In newer ROMs available in Secany thread, you have to remove it from the StartUp menu

Guest tacchan23 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 using k1, i installed spb mobile shell, then go to Setting -> System -> Today and uncheck TouchWiz That's WidgetPlus, not TouchWiz
Guest shutterdll Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 That's WidgetPlus, not TouchWiz ic. which part is touchwiz ? the one tat slide up when we click menu in apps?
Guest tacchan23 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 ic. which part is touchwiz ? the one tat slide up when we click menu in apps? TouchWiz is the MainMenu.exe which is launched by pressing the Cube button (or also pressing the Start icon on top left corner on wm6.1 rom if TouchWiz is enabled)
Guest unixace Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 :) {other then re-mapping the cube button to something else i also can't seem to find a way to disable it but it only consume ram when it's activated so not much of a problem unless you are planning to have more storage space on your phone memory not ram memory)
Guest Omnius Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) using k1, i installed spb mobile shell, then go to Setting -> System -> Today and uncheck TouchWiz People should understand first that TouchWiz and WidgetPlus are two different things. Check your facts first so you dont confuse everybody else..... Edited November 13, 2009 by Omnius
