Guest dgmorland Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 I have installed Secany's wm6.5 ROM. I notice that the lock screen is dimmed after having pressed the Lock button to wakeup the phone. Only after sliding the slider to unlock does the screen return to full brightness. I am not sure if it is just me that has this problem or if it is specific to Omnia II. I am wondering how to change it so that the lock screen is displayed with full brightness. I did have the annoying delay of 2-3 seconds before the slider appeared which was fixed using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527219
Guest lv_88 Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) I would love to know this too! It sucks that it isn't bright/backlit at all when its locked :/ Edited October 12, 2009 by lv_88
Guest dgmorland Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I have seen comments suggesting use Start> Settings> Backlight> uncheck "Dim the backlight if the device is locked" but this isnt an option in my settings menus
Guest Wilson@China Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Same experience on I1 Chinese Version Rom

Guest Rdy2Go Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Issue does not exist on my Win Mo 6.5 ROM - standard Windows lock screen appears instead of proprietary Samsung lock screen - no problems with brightness at all

Guest tRAILeRZ Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 I gave in and used S2U2 for my lockscreen instead. no display brightness problems with S2U2 yeah, same here, difficult to unlock the phone when in broad daylight.
Guest hotoil Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) I use S2U2 for my lockscreen, but the problem still there Edited June 6, 2010 by hotoil
Guest amdzero Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 S2U2-Advanced-dont suspend power-on The only workaround I have found, was using a hacked backlight.dll file that makes it bright ALL the time. so there is NO dim. This worked for outside light.
Guest xaznxplaya Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Put a password for the lockscreen and the brightness will work.
Guest stalyoni Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 I have seen comments suggesting use Start> Settings> Backlight> uncheck "Dim the backlight if the device is locked" but this isnt an option in my settings menus OMG thanks so much. I have suffered with a dim screen since i got the phone about a year ago. This works great. You are a dead set legend mate. I am so happy now. Almost considered getting a new phone as i couldnt fix this problem but now i love my omna more and more.
