I have installed Secany's wm6.5 ROM. I notice that the lock screen is dimmed after having pressed the Lock button to wakeup the phone. Only after sliding the slider to unlock does the screen return to full brightness. I am not sure if it is just me that has this problem or if it is specific to Omnia II. I am wondering how to change it so that the lock screen is displayed with full brightness.

I did have the annoying delay of 2-3 seconds before the slider appeared which was fixed using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527219

I have seen comments suggesting use Start> Settings> Backlight> uncheck "Dim the backlight if the device is locked" but this isnt an option in my settings menus

the cabs and files in that thread are for vga and qvga, which one did u exactly use to solve the 2-3 secs lag? thanks

Issue does not exist on my Win Mo 6.5 ROM - standard Windows lock screen appears instead of proprietary Samsung lock screen - no problems with brightness at all

I gave in and used S2U2 for my lockscreen instead. no display brightness problems with S2U2

S2U2-Advanced-dont suspend power-on

The only workaround I have found, was using a hacked backlight.dll file that makes it bright ALL the time. so there is NO dim.

This worked for outside light.

Put a password for the lockscreen and the brightness will work.
