Guest new2city Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Hi Mr.Hammer, I am on 28014 and so far, so good, really fast boot up.. Only issue that I have at the moment is Easy Access is missing, the only thing that seem close to it(icon wise) is SimTkUI and pressing this does nothing.. great slim rom though ;)
Guest plguzman Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Hammer, testing your 28014 and works fine so far. No bugs and more responsive than previous builds. Great job.
Guest new2city Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 I haven't noticed before but Media Album, flies on your 28014 ROM, in fact, even WinMobile "Pictures and Videos" flies!!! cool! One thing, though, I suspect,(not confirmed), the CPU is running at full speed all the time, coz, battery is draining fast, from 90%this morning till now, 40%... just around 3 short phone calls..!

Is it the "Getting Started"/"Welcome Center" with all the wizards to setup the phone that you are missing? If you haven't use it before it is going to be really hard to access, but it the program where you access mobile services such as check your phone bill today, add mms services and so on. It is also present in most of the normal symbian phones, it's basically text based(uses SMS to transmit requests), I am not sure but it is a remanent of the good old WAP days.. ;)

It sounds like a "Sim Toolkit" to me, but I guess that SimTkit application is not working for you. I just left it there because I thought that it might work for some people. I think it's dependent on some stuff on the SIM card itself but I'm not sure as it's not working for me. Edited December 15, 2009 by Mr.Hammer

Guest Mr.Hammer Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) another bug so far, alarms not sounding. it won't wake up the phone from standby.. Strange. I just tested this and didn't experience the issue that you are describing, but maybe the "sleep-o-death" bug also exist in build 28014 to some degree... ;) Edited December 16, 2009 by Mr.Hammer
Guest Mr.Hammer Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Hi Hammer, I am using your 21884 rom atm...great rom by the way. Only thing is when I install any programs the icons don't show on start page until after soft reset? Thank you! Wired issue you have. I've just reflashed my phone with the 21884 build and tried to install some apps. The icons seem to show up immediately without no need to soft reset! Have you tried hard resetting your phone?

I didn't do hard reset after flash and I know that it is expected now to do this with all roms. I will try and report back. Also, do you know why phone screen goes off at midnight every day?. I have to press power button to resume. Many thanks again for your time and some great roms.
Guest deeoo Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) Seems like a nice ROM. Thanks for your time and effort. The touch sensitivity is a problem though. I use TouchResponse for haptic feedback and often I feedback from touching the screen but the click didn't get through. So somehow the clicks are being caught bij TouchResponse but not by the programs. -update- I'm removing the Hammer. The touch-sesitivity is too important to be bad. Edited December 20, 2009 by deeoo
Guest david_1989 Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 I'm using v11 and have installed various Omnia Lite applications, however Touch Player and File Manager do not work. They install but upon running them I get the following error: The file 'FileManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file. I have the same problem trying to run the original i900 Touch Player also.

Guest yzfr1kong Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Hi Hammer, Currently I'm using your 28014 rom and everything works pretty quick and smooth. The only thing i'm missing now is the video call feature. How do i enable it? I checked the registry but it doesn't have the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin] "Enabled" key. Not sure if you included the dialer skin file into the rom? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Guest Mr.Hammer Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) V11, build 21884\28014, sim menu doesn't work(( upload working tkitapp.exe please Please test the new V12 builds and see if the Sim Toolkit is working. I've replaced the SimTKit.dll with the version from DXID1. Untill now I've been using the version supplied in the WM6.5 builds. I can't verify if it's working myself as my SIM card does not have any Sim Toolkit applications as far as I know, so any feedback will be highly appreciated. Edited January 4, 2010 by Mr.Hammer

Guest dave18 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Hello Mr Hammer : Have installed your V12 28205 rom. Had a fright with installed apps not showing on start menu but after a hard reset , reinstalled and soft reset ,the icons appeared. So,everything's ok now. Tweaked touch and everything's smooth now.Ram has stabilised at around 51mb ,after soft reset it's about 60mb. I know everyone's cooking this rom but it's not special compared to others.Wifi and gps ok.Alarm ok, no sign of freezing as yet. Anyway, very pleased you are cooking basic titanium so that we could install apps/ tweaked the way we like it. Keep it up , many thanks and wish you a great year ahead. dave
