Guest Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Try v12 (28205) rom, thank you, Sim-menu now works. I have any suggestions - to add codecs to WMP for viewing .avi and replace the camera in black skin (taken from the Russian firmware PUIE2 - camera.exe , without third-party drivers, and improvements like pako777) and I can not find any Bluetooth FTP settings ((. Thank you for your work -- very stable, a good firmware. All the best. PS - I also replaces the standard calculator (PowerCalc.exe from PUIE2 rom) he is the same as in DXID1 but with a black design. Thank you for your attention and excuse me for bad English.

Thank you for your attention and excuse me for bad English. Thanks for your feedback. I'm happy that the sim toolkit is finally working for those who still uses it :) I've (finally) removed the large volume control in the V13 ROM, so please try it out. Based on your suggestion I've replaced the camera with the version from PUIE2 which definatly has a better look with the black skin! I've kept the original calculator as it's part of the standard WM6.5.x build and I don't want to add any unnecessary apps to my ROM, but of course you can still install the PowerCalc.exe afterwards if you prefer this calculator. Btw. The only reason that there are a 21884 and almost identical 21887 build is that I finshed the 21884 build before i discovered the newer build and as the 21884 was allready cooked and tested I decided to upload both B) Edited January 6, 2010 by Mr.Hammer
Guest plguzman Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Well, great ROM as usual, already flashed. I liked the Samsung Volume Control tho. Please give us instructions of how reinstall it. I have a .cab for it, but the Windows Volume still appear after installing it. EDIT: Nevermind, I found a version that works. It would be nice anyway that you include a link for the cab you used in case somebody wants that volume control. Edited January 6, 2010 by plguzman

I'm happy that you like it :) I like the idea with a seperate CAB for the volume control. I've linked to the cab created by qbus on the first page. It seems to be working for me on the 21887 ROM allthough the Large Volume can only be triggered by using the hardware buttons and not by pushing the speaker icon (after installing Samsung_Volume_Control_Full.cab).

Guest sazoe Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Hi all, I tested this ROM now for 3 days, and it`s working really great. I have only 1 problem :) When I get a SMS I can normally answer this with a forward SMS, when I lock my omnia and I get another SMS the keyboard don`t rocognize the words by himself ( I use the original omnia keyboard ) When I go to the task magamer and I end the messaging application , This works fine as by the first SMS. It looks like the message application will keep running in background when you lock the phone. This application has to shut down when you`re ready with you SMS :) Can please someone help me with this problem, how I can stop the messaging application ( in task manager automaticlly when I send my SMS or when I lock my phone ) Thanks, sazoe
Guest FredClappen Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Hi Hammer. Sorry its starting to look like I'm anly looking for problems in your ROM. I found that the following doesnt work on your rom. Is there a way to fix it? "I've seen a lot of people asking how they can boost their volume of their headsets or when watching a movie through the loud speaker (its very low). Even ringtones are effected by this. So I thought I better finally register and post my findings for other I900 owners. Its quite simple and does not require a hard rest. In the phone keypad type: *#0002*28346# You will then have a screen pop up called audio control util. How to change the loudspeaker volume for ringtones, movies, mp3s etc Click menu, normal then handset (the first one, Phones headset/loudspeaker) Here you can change: Speaker volume: SPK(02) -db is less volume, I have set this to -1.5db (level) Digital-to-analog: DAC(0C) This effects the overall volume of Mp3s, movies etc -both headset and loud speaker. I have set this to 0db. Radio Volume: RVOL How to change the headset / earphones volume. Click menu, normal then headset (the second one, Headphones) Here you can change: Headphones volume: HP(02) -db is less volume +db is more volume, I have set this to 0db (level) Digital-to-analog: DAC(0C) This effects the overall volume of Mp3s, movies etc. I have set this to 0db. Radio Volume: RVOL *You must click menu / apply for changes to take effect, *I recommend play a Mp3 launch the app, then apply the changes and set your prefered max volume. *Setting high levels could damage the loud speaker or your headphones, not to mention your hearing!." I realy love your ROM because its so close to what Samsung would / might do for the I900 and WM 6.5 . I think I've found my favorite ROM.
Guest Sim Brothers Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Thanks for this amazing ROM! I'm using your 28205 version and it's really what I was looking for. A simple, near default WM 6.5! Only one thing... a problem mentioned above really happens. The Start Menu doesn't refresh if you add an icon. And it happens too when you add the icon on programs folder (windows\start menu\programs) using File Explorer. You have to go "up" then enter in the programs folder again. Hope you fix this later! Thanks again! :)

One question though, how can I get ridd of the DivX Registration, Large Display, TV Out and Theme options? They dont work. :) Also, I cant seem to open Microsoft Tag Reader. The "thinking" dots just keeps on turning. If you look at my description it says "• Themes, DivX and Large Display icons still left in Settings but does nothing." and I don't know how to get rid of these icons. I don't know what to do about the Tag reader. I'll remember to test in the next ROM I'm currently building (23518) and see if it works.

I'll try to test it in my next ROM and see if I can provoke it myself.
Guest FredClappen Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Hi Hammer. Its probibly a stupid question but why do you cooks build new roms with older revisions of WM 6.5? I dont know yet what the diffrence between all the versions are. Could you help me in this regard?
Guest Mr.Hammer Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Hi Hammer. Its probibly a stupid question but why do you cooks build new roms with older revisions of WM 6.5? I dont know yet what the diffrence between all the versions are. Could you help me in this regard? The simple answer is that the "old" 218xx builds are considered more stable - and I like stability myself. "old" is also not the correct word to describe them as the newest build 21889 are just a couple of weeks old. The 218xx builds are just not so feature rich as some of the 23xxx builds but that is just because they are part of af diffrent development branch that has a diffrent focus (stabillity vs. new feeatures).
Guest Mr.Hammer Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 If you look at my description it says "• Themes, DivX and Large Display icons still left in Settings but does nothing." and I don't know how to get rid of these icons. I've made a 23518 build and MS Tag Reader is also having problems in this build for me. The biggest problem with the 23518 build is however that it is very slow so therefore I'm not posting it, and I don't have time to investigate why so I'll wait for the next 235xx build and hopefully I will be able to make a working (fast) build then...
Guest FredClappen Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Hi Hammer. Thanks for the fast reply. I kinda like the 28xxx builds more. Hope you will still build future ROMs of this version. I realy love your ROM for the "default" apps and features. Great work. Edited January 18, 2010 by FredClappen
Guest FredClappen Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Ok. Las time I'll bug you with this. The 23xxx builds, do they have similar features and looks to the 28xxx builds (Start at the bottom and the touch interface)?

Guest Leiz Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Gosh what's wrong? I flashed to 28... and now I get an infinte screen allignment!!! no chance to stop it... Who has a solution for this prob? I got this problem too when I use another ROM, the problem is...touch panel broken. test it using LCD Test (Dial *#0*#) Temporary solution is disable screen calibration or modify the screen calibration MaxCalError (with registry editor)

Guest Raheel Anjum Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 good to see a 6.1 build :) If any one has tested the WM6.1 builld, please give your reviews. The free space looks very attractive. :)
Guest melodysilly Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 what's cooked in ur wm 6.1 ?
Guest Mr.Hammer Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) what's cooked in ur wm 6.1 ? The basic operating system with Windows Live removed (as it's an old version) and .NET CF 2.0 replaced with NET CF 3.5 (as written on the first page describing my V13 ROM). Nothing more, nothing less. It's very clean and without and Samsung customizations so it's basicly for everyone who want a very clean ROM that can be customized afterwards to their needs.
