Is there a way to change sms tone?

Anyone have any idea how to change sms tone to a custom tone?

Tried goggling but can't find any info for i8000.

be careful not to put an mp3 otherwise it could play until the end without being enable to stop it

To set custom tones, put your mp3, wav of wma to \Application Data\Sounds. You can put the tones in other folders (e.g. My Ringtones, My Music etc.) but Sounds is the 'best' place as all apps can see that folder.

It should then appear in the SMS Notification sound selection menu.

However, if you are using WM 6.1 sometimes it might not detect it. I had to either soft-reset or run touch player and do a media search for the files to be detected.

WM 6.5 does not have this problem.
