Disable default lock screen

Hi guys

I've searched everywhere but nothing I try will let me disable the default WinMo 6.5 lock screen when using my phones lock button. I'm trying to use S2U2 but although it works, I also have the default lock screen as well. So when I unlock my phone, I have to unlock it twice. Some people have suggested going into settings/lock and unticking a box to disable it there, but I can't see any option in there to disable the lock screen, only an option to disable a password on unlock. I also tried adding 'devicelockwhensuspend' to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd' but that didn't work either. Although the sceen does not double lock if it just goes to sleep, if I use my hardware button to initiate a sleep, I get the two lock screens. I'[ve also looked in settings/personal/buttons to change what the lock button does, but it doesn't show up there. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Well, I just got my HD2 NL version, and I'm having the same issue as Stibbzy :

I'm trying to use S2U2 but although it works, I also have the default lock screen as well. So when I unlock my phone, I have to unlock it twice.

Then the reply which worked for him was :

go setting ,display and light ,lockscreen , unselect lock when device woke and done.

I must be extremely stupid or confused by the Dutch language (waiting to flash to WWE)

but I can't find that sequence of steps.

Setting - is that the icon with the gear from a gearbox ? I suppose so ?

Display and Light- Can't find that part, not even in dutch. I did find a part where you can alter the backlight settings and all.

lockscreen - I can find 1 menu about this gem, but it the menu Stybzi is talking about.

I'm using a Dutch HD2 ROM, anyone able to help ? It's so crap annoying ! S2u2 rulez.

Ehm, if the Settings in HTC HD2 and Samsung Omnia2 were exactly the same I'd be surprised... maybe you should ask in a HD2 subforum/thread?

I think the issue remains if you have events on your calendar. Somehow the second lock will still appear. Does anyone have the same problem?

i think it happens when u do a manual lock using the button and happen to depress it for longer
