Guest Wildfire Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 please bear with me as it has been a while since i used a windows phone i am struggling to find the windows folder on my PC within explorer, see the screen shot on the TG01 there is a file called windows, but accessing the phone via my PC using Vista i can't see this, i can see it as a hidden folder. Can anyone help with this As a side question what file format are the ringtones? Thanks
Guest Medved77 Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View - untick 'hide protected operating system files (Recommended) I guess we're not supposed to be messing with that folder.
Guest Neil5459 Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 As a side question what file format are the ringtones? Thanks Ringtones can be MP3, MIDI or WMA and need to reside in My Documents/My Ringtones. Other notifications should preferably be in WAV format but can be MP3, though it's recommended that they are no bigger than 25KB; they should be stored in the Windows folder.
