how to flash a phone part with grand prix

Thanks!

I just don't get it.

If the phoneparts are not region specific, why does samsung make region specific phoneparts ??? Any one got a clue.

Is it just the nation who gets the newest rom update which also gets the newest phonepart, so that actually the phoneparts could be named ver 1, ver2 and so on ?

I've just flashed xbic wich is native for me and the phone acts smoother and no problems with 3g wifi gps. Gps locks on pretty fast. Faster than the JIIA1.

The first two bytes is a region code (XX is spain), the third is age (e.g. h-2008, i - 2009 and so on), the fourth bute is month (a - january, b - february and so on), the last one is a revision number. For more information see pdf-file in attach.

Hi

I had dxia1 phone rom and I can tell you that phone rom is a real battery killer.

Without using pda, 1 day and battery was drained completely.

Using GPS, GPS Chip and cpu were very hot.

I upgraded phone rom to xbic1 and since ....

-GPS get fixed in 15-30 sec range

-GSM signal is far better

-battery usage is back to normal.

-no cpu/gps overheat when using gps

Last sample : 2 days in standby (no call, no sms, kept phone idle) and

drained 10% of my bat. (the same bat that was drained in a day with

DXIA1 phone rom)

With moderate usage, 4-5 days without charging original battery

For me, xbic1 is a very good phone rom and solves lot of WM6.5 battery drain issues

we all are experiencing.

I have my omnia i900's phone part as DXIA2. In order to flash with JJIA1 using Grandprix, do i still need to do the steps below prior to flashing JJIA1 Phone part?

Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer

With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#

Select 'Preconfiguration'

Enter code *#81230*# and select OK

Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator

Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET

Run update, and all should be well.
