Setting - System - Sounds & Notification - Notification (tab) - Event (Messaging: Net text message)

Make sure to set to Play Sound and Vibrate

Hi,

I had the same problem.

Try this

Settings-System-Sounds & Notification --> Check the 3rd box on first tabpage (Notification (Signals,..)

Press the side volume button and press up.

It not vibrate or sound because (may) accidentally we mute the system volume. (The SMS is tide to system volume which is kinda stupid idea)

Sorry, I'm using SPB Mobile Shell.

Perhaps you download the trial version to check it?

best regards

Me too. In my case it turned out to be a regedit I'd made. I don't sync Outlook E-mail, so prefer to hide this when I go to my Account Picker in Messaging. The recommended solution is to delete all of HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\ActiveSync. Works fine on my other PDAs. Unfortunately on the O2 this disables sound, vibrate and popup for new SMS.

To restore, the default values should be:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\ActiveSync]

FriendlyName="Outlook E-mail"

UserCannotCreate=dword:00000001

DLL="syncmgr.dll"

Name="ActiveSync"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\ActiveSync\MsgClasses]

IPM.Note=dword:00000001

Hope that helps
