Guest zvythor Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I would like to know how about running FPSECE on i8000. Is it can run smooth and greater than Omnia i900 ? How about FPS that it can make? In fact that clock rate on i8000 (CPU ARM11 800 Mhz) is more than i900 (Marvell PXA312 624 Mhz) but there are many variable to run FPSECE good just like 3D hardware acceleration , CPU architecture ,screen resolution , etc. Thanks in advance :D
Guest Andy Q Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) Don't pin your hope too high... It'll definately run faster than i900, but the question is when will you actually get to see the application being released??? It's been donkey years since we last seen the post that it will get released soon, but have you actually seen a public release??? Edited October 29, 2009 by Andy Q
Guest TheGoDxxxx Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) Actually FpseCe is marked for release very soon, according to the lead developer: FpseCE software Architecture will let us to support quickly Multitouch screen, but if it's well implemented into Windows API, it should work well without modifications. About FpseCE, i finally finished my work on Onscreen buttons/Widget and did huge work on Onscreen button emulation... Now you can slide your finger/stylus on the screen and press a button at a time simultaneously, you tell me how is it possible? In fact it's simple and this work very well, imagine you have a game on which yoiu have to move your character , then you have to jump to the other side, this will be translated like : that you slide your finger on the screen in the direction you want, and then previously you have assigned an onscreen button just above to jump, you continue to slide onto this button where it is placed , then the character run and jump... that work very well. Now Beta Testing need to start for all changes i done since 3 weeks... The good news: LDchen and me have finished our work for FpseCE 0.10. We are both OK for a release. Now everything is in the hands of Almighty Bob and Cysign, almighty is currently finishing his work on Skins, and Cysign told me he should do something this week end. My fingers are crossed.... Schtruck. Source Id also be happy to know what kind of speed the omnia II can archive compared to a snapdragon powered device as a example. Edited October 30, 2009 by TheGoDxxxx
Guest zvythor Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) TheGoDxxxx ,Thank for your link that have interest information to me. and I found some interest a result of test as TG01 Integer: 742.7088 Moves/25 usec Floating Point: 19.815 MWIPS Ram Access 1214 Speed Index Draw Bitmaps: 381 Speed Index Omnia II Integer : 516 Floating Point (with FPU Enabler) : 38 Floating Point (without FPU) : 11 RAM Access : 953 Draw bitmaps : 1746 which TG01 can run almost game on FPSECE 0.1 ot 0.096 with full speed 50-60 fps as.. and omnia1 can run full speed in some game and almost game can be run smoothly as.. -- -- FF 7 omnia vs iphone -- FF8 so I think there are no reason to wait for FPSECE public release Edited October 30, 2009 by zvythor

Guest Doombringer Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I have try it. unable to run winning eleven( I am not sure version)but steady with 30 fps with gt1. Then lack of multi touch makes everything horibble. I am planning on buying a bluetooth keyboard, when I do I will start a topic.
Guest cyber-junkie Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I have try it. unable to run winning eleven( I am not sure version)but steady with 30 fps with gt1. Then lack of multi touch makes everything horibble. I am planning on buying a bluetooth keyboard, when I do I will start a topic. You must map the X-Button as a 'Switch-Button' - not as a 'Press Button', so GT1 is full playable on the i8000 (so you have only press 'X' one time - and the car is driving :) ). So I can play GT1 on my i8000 with around 30~40fps - only with virtual keys or - with my zeemote mapped as hardware-buttons ;)
Guest ratsbane Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 @cyber-junkie can you please give some advice how to you switch between full screen mode, because I cannot get back from landscape even clicking 1thsnd times on the right-upper corner, and had to restrart my Omnia2. SIC! thanks ;-)
Guest cyber-junkie Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) My workaround: Use gyrator2 (works only with HTC-G-Sensor-Emulator) to change with the g-sensor in landscape/portrait-mode - this works! Edited December 29, 2009 by cyber-junkie
