Guest deepower Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) ==PROBLEM SOLVED== Hello all, I'm (obviously, as you can see :D ) new to this forum and new to whole this thing. call me n00b ;) Anyways, Let me describe my problem: I was in Internet Explorer to download google maps. after navigating to the download page, i decided that i should go on with wi-fi as my data plan's storage acceptance is a little low. So i tapped on the "Large Status Indicator" and opened Wireless Manager. I accidentally tapped Bluetooth, and after closing that i tapped on Wi-Fi then i returned to IE with the Task Switcher and noticed that the wifi "logo" wasn't on the taskbar. So, as anybody would do, I re-opened Wireless Manager and poof! my Wi-Fi switch wasn't there, In a panic, i opened up settings and then Network. I tapped on the Wi-Fi menu item and the UI was there, i tapped the blue thing to turn it on and then just swiped the network (it was preconfigured) to the big circle. But it didn't connect, instead it said turning on wi-fi. again. I don't really know what my problem is -something like WM can't conrol my wi-fi- and i really dont wanna do a hard reset. Or maybe the worst case, my phone's wi-fi chip got fryed. I want your help guys, Thank you all!! :P Fantastic forum BTW Edited November 1, 2009 by deepower
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Check what you have recently installed including any themes and uninstall. I had similar issue with a theme I tried, it removed WiFi option from my lists but an uninstall and soft reset returned everything back to normal.
Guest deepower Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) ok. trying now. EDIT** I uninstalled everything. and soft resetted for like 3 times. GOD, IT WORKED!! :P THX!! :D Edited November 1, 2009 by deepower
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Glad to know it's working now :D When reinstalling your applications try checking the WiFi after each install so you can then see what actually caused the issue.
