For those that are interested about Omnia 2 vs HTC HD2 here are some picture comparisons:

http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=9538

I'm surprised that the HTC HD2 doesn't actually look that big compared to the Omnia 2. I was thinking it would be a huge difference. The other big thing of note is the Omnia 2 seems to have sharper colour clarity than the HD2.

Merely a comparison for those that are interested. I can't afford to be buying a new phone after having bought the Omnia 2 a few months ago. So we know what we'll be sticking with. Though I think I'll hold out till WinMo 7 and Nvidia Tegra next year for a new phone. Regardless I'm happy with the Omnia 2.

Given the screen size is 4.3", i think the resolustion should be better on 1024x600.

On the other hand, the screen quality, camera quality and battery life cannot beat Omnia2

Yeah, I agree.

I believe HD2 will be overall better than Omnia2 (of course ONLY if the battery life will be proven good) but still Omnia2 have some better aspects anyway (like Amoled).

So in the end, being very happy with my Omnia2 for almost 3 months now, and considering that here in Bangkok a HD2 will be likely 550€ while I paid my Omnia2 abour 400€... I'll most likely not "upgrade" to HD2.

People's enamourment with capacitive screens revolve around what the iPhone has and not because it has any major advantage over resistive. And it isnt even capacitive vs resistive, it is multi-touch!

As someone pointed out resistive responds to anything that interacts with the screen (fingers, stylus, toothpick, gloved hands, etc). A capacitive does not. Imagine standing outside in some extremely cold place and having to take off the gloves to use the phone.

The best bet at this time would be an AMOLED resistive screen that can also do multi-touch.

Additionally, the biggest talking point at this time are Android based phones (and the new Motorola Droid is getting tons of press and very very favourable reviews, some to the extent of reviwers actually dropping the "dog" phone).

Having played with both devices they both have some very good points.

Being an Omnia2 Owner I would be very tempted if I could afford it to swap to the HD2, it's very fast battery life as far as I am aware is good but it's all down to the ROM that it will eventually be released with. It may not be an AMOLED display but it's still very impressive.

Size wise think of the HTC Universal for overall size but the unit is amzingly thin.
