I have just upgraded my Omnia 2 to Win Mobile 6.5

I have the following questions which I hope someone would enlighten me.

1. How do I configure to have my SMS messages saved onto memory card instead on phone memory?

2. Can the lock screen image be changed? If yes, appreciate your guidance with procedures.

Thank you for your input and advice.

Good day.

Good day.

1) You can't without alot of hassle. You can set the phone to save message attachments on the memory card, but you can't save the SMS messages themselves on the memory card, because the SMS messages are stored in a database on the phone memory. I don't see why you would want too either, since SMS messages take up negligible space, even if you have thousands of them, and if you want to save it on your memory card for backup purposes, then use a tool like PIMBackup.

2) Yes. There are whole threads dedicated on this forum to changing the lock screen. One thread is dedicated to modifying the default WinMo lock screen, and there is another thread where a user on this forum has used S2U2 and themed it to look like the original Samsung lock screen on 6.1. Take some time to search for it. You'll stumble across many other goodies, tips and tricks along the way. I'm purposefully not pointing you towards these threads because its better for the community if you search the threads and potentially contribute your insights, instead of just taking what someone has pointed to you towards and leaving :D.
