Guest nikosxri Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) PROPOSAL Every chef can benchmark his rom and post the result for the specific bare build. The benchmark of SK Tools is a number and so we can compare roms and share knowledge for making them faster. The target is to hit the 305 that achived the Khuanchai rom with his secret kitchen. I personally cannot achieve more than 275 using woozers kitchen in 28011 build. I begun a new post for this in general omnia I9x0 discussion. Edited December 9, 2009 by nikosxri
Guest rtomakov Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Try to port it, it's not too difficult!! ;) Give a look to this littel Tutorial i just sent to cruddasj. Guest cruddasj Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Find the value: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\Touch\Filter] "MinimumTapTime"=dword:28 ; 40ms minimum touch time in the RGU found inside (Build number example) SYS\23088\OS\ Then change the value from 28 to 0. Save, and enjoy your improved touch response ;)

Guest rtomakov Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Guys, just one more tip before going to bed. And dont be angry if you already knew that. Most of programs that we usually use on omnia, can be used without installing or cooking into rom. It is enough to unpack them into some folder (I use \My Storage\Programs) and link .exe to start menu. I am uploading my collection of these programs, just if you wish to try. There are: MS Tag, complete office (new, 2010 beta), new Opera, smplayer, calendar, some tools, Google pack, interesting "Media Center for Windows Mobile", Notepad, Wi-Fi Monster and some usual samsung programs that we usually get out from roms. I will post a link when uploading finishes. http://rapidshare.com/files/318658292/Programs.zip Edited December 9, 2009 by rtomakov

Guest steff195 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I cannot get M2D V2 to work in my roms. I converted the AIO cab to EXT (as usually do) but I've noticed there's no app.dat and app.reg like in the other files. I think that could be the problem. Can anyone share the working version (cab or ext)? How can I get it to work? The old M2D worked well when cooked in roms.
Guest smaury Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Try to use OEM! I have a Manila 2D V2 OEM, try to make one yourself if you can't i can upload mine...
Guest steff195 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 You mean to take the OEM converted from the cab and put it to the EXT folder just like that? If so, I never tried this way before. I use ext files. Will it work? Or maybe I'm using the wrong cab to make oems? I use THIS. If you could be so kind to share... ;)
Guest smaury Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I can share my OEM manila 2d v2 package, but it has italian MUIs, so if you want to use it you must put 0409 MUIs, than you put all the OEMs packages in \OEM folder! If you want you can convert OEM into EXT! Here you are my OEM: http://www.mediafire.com/?w10lxm0wzwy
Guest steff195 Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Ok, man, thank you very much. One more question: I saw here (on Sector's first post, at the bottom) that there some extra cabs that you don't have in your archive: HTC_Album_2.0.cab and HTC_Audio_Manager_2.0.cab . Is your version working ok without them or should I include those too? Thanks again! ;)
