Guest tacchan23 Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) Great news to Omnia II fans. Now, you can meet the Samsung Application Store on your PC. Samsung launched a new PC software “Samsung Kies” which enables you to browse Application Store on your PC. – Samsung Omnia II’s Notes through Facebook Samsung Kies is a PC Software you can use to connect your PC with your handset. Samsung Kies offers many widgets providing various functions between the PC and phone. – Samsung App Store You can download it here I tested it just now (other than using the Applications Store it has many sync functions). I could download and install apps even if here in Thailand the AppStore on Mobile isn't active yet, so I guess it will work for every country. Edit: my laptop is really crappy, I admit it, but this application is in perfect Samsung WidgetPlus style... fat and laggy :D Edited November 6, 2009 by tacchan23
Guest spectral77 Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 tried using it but wasn't able to access app store here in sg.
Guest tacchan23 Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) tried using it but wasn't able to access app store here in sg. Did you install it choosing UK or Italy? (as they say in the installation guide) I choose Italy for country (myself being italian), UK English for language end it works here in Thailand. Download and install the software (Samsung Kies). Please select the appropriate language and country during installation. (UK, Italy only) Edited November 6, 2009 by tacchan23

Guest silvos3189 Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 JUST tried it... works perfectly! At least the part where I find apps and install on phone. But interesting idea... Anyway, There's this really nice FREE APP in that store. MoCo under Utilities. With that app, you could assign any app or game to run by tilting left, right, or up fast. Very useful, since I set up tilting up for Task Switcher, Left for settings, and right for File Manager. It's also very convenient..
