Guest AntonioPT Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) Yeah sure. I plan to add a flag to the kernel config. Then you might even disable overclocking in the kernel. Setting the clock via a script at startup shouldn't be a problem at all. Just for the record, my DEV Pulse is running @780 for a few hours now and everything seems to be fine. I'd like to install Linpack and test the score with FroYo but it hasn't got a filemanager  What is BFS? Edit: Okay, so lets add the minmax governor too B) Brainf*ck Scheduler by Con Kolivas It's a patch for the Linux kernel scheduler to improve performance. EDIT: Sorry fibble, I hadn't noticed you already posted the answer to bobo B) Edited September 24, 2010 by AntonioPT
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Oh wow, that patch is huge ... Flibble, you want to upload your most recent boot image with my kernel as a flashable update.zip, don't you? Toti wants to test MT for me, but he can't access a computer right now so he may only flash an update.zip B)

Guest Daz555 Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) I think having an overclockable config is preferable to one where a certain overclock is already established. Is that is what is being aimed for? Edited September 24, 2010 by Daz555
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 How come your custom kernel is a lot smaller than the normal kernel? Its smaller? Didn't notice that! How much?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Oh, I haven't enabled SWAP by the way.
Guest Simon O Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Its smaller? Didn't notice that! How much? I'll work it out. did you make any changes to the config?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 I'll work it out. did you make any changes to the config? Nope, I used the standard config (pulled from my device running FLB MOD).
Guest Simon O Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Nope, I used the standard config (pulled from my device running FLB MOD). OK it's an older kernel config (looks like the HU config). I'll have to replace this as the source is the UK kernel source, not the HU kernel.

I'll have to replace this as the source is the UK kernel source, not the HU kernel. Oh okay, that might be. I was pulling the config off my Pulse running FLB MOD 1.3

Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Excellent. Although I had to delete the folder and clone the repo again :s I thought you're going to upload the UK kernel config? The only thing that changed is SWAP.
