Guest Ramapitecus Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 I know its much to read, but if you read the whole thread you would already have noticed that I even contacted Luke Hutchinson directly (the guy that ported MT to the G1). That was the first thing I tried. I didn't work, obviously :) Thanks for the hint though :D To the rest of you: I'm really sorry, I haven't got any time recently to look further into MT :) But really big thanks to all of you that are supporting me :D Believe me, without you guys encouraging me I would already have given up a while ago. Best regards, BB Huawei C8600 seems to be very similar to U8230, maybe the C8600 touch firmrware would be the solution for our problems

The people that are trying to make multitouch work will let us know if they succeed. I'm sure they're trying every thing imaginable. Edited February 19, 2011 by Fusion0306
Guest shashwatyoyo Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) go big bear!!!! you can do it ....... the MT says i am immpossible but what we hear is i am possible...... so go bro go :D Edited March 25, 2011 by shashwatyoyo
Guest shashwatyoyo Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Hi BB, last night i was just going through my system files and i found thid file android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml in system/etc/xbin Can u tell me why is this file already present on my phone ?
Guest gocegi Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Perhaps there could be a fix like the X8Gesture - Semi- dual touch one-finger pinch zoom. Id doesn't seems that difficult to recreate... but that's just me blabbing, and I'm sure no dev :D But it really is interesting though... :D
Guest shashwatyoyo Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Hey Guyz, I am s osorry i read the whole topic and now i am a bit Confused! So BBM got mt working on 1.5 n 1.6 right??? But not 2.1 n 2.2??? So r U guyz working on it?? No offence guyz.... mind fully confused !

Guest shashwatyoyo Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Nope, no MT what so ever. And it's pretty much a dead project. But what happened after bbm got the multitouch working and he even uploaded some screenshots...
Guest TJ Style Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 sorry for bumping this thread.. i just want to know how to flash the touchscreen hardware firmware? I use the huawei C8150 that using synaptic_i2c_rmi_tm.c as driver. i don't know how to flash the touchscreen hardware firmware, or how to including on kernel source. it seems huawei is starting to developing the u8500 with dualtouch capability, i read from here: http://developer.huaweidevice.com/bbs/view...;extra=page%3D1 i hope huawei u8500 is still using synaptic. because for u8800 that have multitouch capability is using atmel. in other think, i see samsung s5570 is using synaptic rmi4. and on kernel source, i see lot off firmware version (hex format).
Guest jimmie32 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 There's a weird thing I've noticed.. Android Features/Capabilities in the ASI (Android System Info) App shows the following as the features: (omitted) android.hardware.touchscreen android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch Though multitouch doesn't work. Weird that android flags the screen as a multitouch touchscreen. :D Whatever. Just saying.
Guest TJ Style Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Finally I can get Multitouch / Dualtouch Working on Huawei Ideos C8150.. This is some Preview:
Guest belorussian Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Cooool!!!But how can we get it on Pulse?
Guest TJ Style Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Cooool!!!But how can we get it on Pulse? you can see the diff of patched kernel on my github: https://github.com/tjstyle/Huawei-Kernel
Guest j1exus Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 you can see the diff of patched kernel on my github: https://github.com/tjstyle/Huawei-Kernel Could you make kernel with multitouch for pulse(huawei u8230)?

It would be very nice if you could do that, here's the kernel for U8220/U8230: https://github.com/pulse-android-dev/kernel_pulse If you could compile the kernel with your edited files it might work, since the files look very similair. Sh4d0w940 I will take a look to the kernel source of pulse. I hope I can, port the tm driver to tm1319 source. or maybe BBM & totiadrenalin can port the driver?
Guest eckengucker1 Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 or maybe BBM & totiadrenalin can port the driver? they are pretty out of scene

Guest TJ Style Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I will also take a look at it when I have some time. Great.. Will be better, because i don't have the device.
Guest gocegi Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 TJ Style, congratulations on your XDA headliner !!! Looking forward for you to get the multitouch working on our pulses, if it's possible in any way... Thx for the effort
Guest totiadrenalin Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) I will also take a look at it when I have some time. Take a look at this [CONFIG_TOUCHSCREEN_SYNAPTICS_I2C_RMI_TM1319=y] line in gonfig.gz in pulse And in Huawei ideos c8150 is using synaptics_i2c_rmi_tm.c touchscreen drivers. So be careful to do not mess the drivers and patch wrong touchscreen driver. Wish luck to any who will try to patch the drivers and enable DT in Pulse! Edited April 2, 2011 by totiadrenalin

Guest rulerofkaos Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Didn't BigBearMDC say he got a dualtouch touchscreen driver, but the problem was the touch controller firmware that was not reporting the second point?
Guest totiadrenalin Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Didn't BigBearMDC say he got a dualtouch touchscreen driver, but the problem was the touch controller firmware that was not reporting the second point? I gues that the problem was with board-msm7x25.c
Guest totiadrenalin Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 TJ Style what did you exactly patch in board-msm7x25.c? Because compared with the board-msm7x25.c file from pulse's source it is totally different.
