Guest andy_sg_123 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Trying to play the rmvb file on Omina 2, but it is very lag. I have tried to play it on laptop but no problem. Anyone can advise? Any other software to play the movie file?
Guest NewForce Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) You can try to re-encode your rmvb file with video code set to real video8 instead of real video9. The different between both was, rv8 is with H.263 codec and rv9 is with H.264 codec. So rv8 will make life much easier for any Windows Mobile phone to decode. Another option you can try was, try re-encode your rmvb files using FormatFactory to MP4 format and set video code to AVC H.264. The output settings below for your reference, Please take note, try use video bitrate to the nearest of the original rv9 file overall bitrate and bitrate that highlighted in RED on below picture. So above picture shown overall bitrate=547Kbps and bitrate=483Kbps, you'll need to choose the Output seetings video stream bitrate of 512kbps With above settings, the MP4 video quality will be exactly the same quality (if not better) of rv9 and almost the same file size too. Guest damienism Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) hi bro, how about freeware AllToAVI? I use it to convert to AVI. Some of the formats listed that can be converted to AVI are: # MKV to avi with subtitle and audio # WMV to avi # RM/RMVB to avi # MPEG (all) to avi # H.264 and etc My PC runs on Vista HP. So got to run the program with 'Run As Administrator' mode, else will not able to convert due to lack of system rights. Hope this helps :) Edited November 11, 2009 by damienism
