need help with wifi settings

hi guys, wanna ask what will be the settings for wifi for wm6.1 for those free wireless hotspot like wireless@sg or even at home with wireless..

what will be the settings be? i got difficulties setting up the setting for me to connect.. everytime i try to connect, it just cant connect onto the server..

will appreciate if someone can help me with this...
