Edit registry to be able to update rom using the new NPS v 1.4.0.IK1

Samsung mobile singapore has made avaible an original rom update for Omnia I8000. My original omnia rom WM 6.1 was from singapore, but now as I have used secany rom via octans, my mobile is recognized as XX european mobile, I want to return to Singapore region so that I will be able to update to the original WM 6.5 rom via NPS. Is it possbile to change Pda and CSC using registry editing as we used to do in Omnia I900 to be able to install updates? If so tell me how to edit Pda and CSC via registry to be able to change my region area back to Singapore and then be able to install the official rom via NPS. Thanks

put this code in the dial pad:

Go to the Preconfiguration and write this password *#81230*#

Select your country a operator, after this operation hard reset is required, but your mobile back to singapur region again.

The Samsung NPS is not supporting I8000 yet even though it said support in website because I just test two unit. One has been flash with XX version, another is original XS (which is un-touch Singapore edition) both also mention your device is not supported.

You can download latest ROM for your country with "Samsung FUS Downloader for Windows Mobile based firmware", without changing registry. You just need to enter version numbers of an official older ROM. But downloaded files will be in Octans format, and you need to write ROMs manually.

i think it doesn't change csc file bro...

yes monyozt is correct. this can be used to help set up a rom that was flashed and doesnt automatically detect the sim settings....(custom roms) just follow the directions...choose your country and te carrier you use and ok....it resets (hard) then all of the carrier settings in the phone are gone and ready to be set with your current sim's...
