Omnia II does not support call recording anymore

Hi,

I live in Mumbai and i have an Omnia II from singapore which supports call recording and the quality is amazing the softwares i use are Vito Audio Notes and Resco Audio Recorder. Samsung has now officialy released Omnia II in India @ 450 US$ sim free. All the Omnia II's officially relesed i India do not support call recording, i hae tried Vito Audio Recorder on the Indian Omnia II and the file created is 0 bytes and deletes itself automatically. Is anybody else facing the same problem anywhere else??

Really don't know anymore... my first try recording a call on IK1 rom worked fine. Then any other tries resulted in 0KB size files.

The same is happening now after flashing to IJC rom.

Somebody has any idea if there is some registry to tweak for this problem?

Im also using Vito Audio Notes Touch 1.3 an have made the same experiance with Omnia II. I hav found out that the problem appears on Windows mobile 6.5 only. The files are 0 byte big. After downgrading to Windows Mobile 6.1 all works fine.

The best thing: On Omnia 2 the recording software will recorrd incoming AND outgoing voice. On my HTC Touch HD i was able to record the outgiong voice only (me myself) only.

Vito Audio Notes does not work fine on 6.5 roms.

Resco Audio Recorder.v4.60 works fine to me.

it's funny couse in WM6.5 rom all these registry are complitely missing!

quickrecord on vito audio notes and vito audio notes touch work fine on J9.

incoming call record does not work.

Thank you very much guys, i hope its the missing registry that does the trick. I apologize for not mentioning the ROM version

the Singapore handset is XXIG6, the Indian one i got very disappointed and returned it.

Mmm, I just noticed also the standard Recorder application (the one to take audio notes) doesn't work at all for me... on IJC rom.

I also tried to add the missing registry but still not working.

Hope someone more experienced can have a look at this^^

Update: Vito audio notes started to work again suddenly (after some soft resets) and could record both incoming and outgoing voice. I managed to record succesfully 5 calls. After that it stopped working again^^ (and also the standard voice Recorder stopped working again) So I give it up now, hope some other user can find a solution or we have to wait for some other ROM maybe...

If i8000 doesn't support the call recording, I won't buy it

Are you using wm6.1 and have you tried different roms ? Did you install SRS WOW or something like that ?

Edit: oh thanks, some users have confirmed that it works depending on whether wm6.1 or not

I'm using wm 6.5 rom.

With wm 6.1 rom is working 100%.
