Guest ravelcop Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 sorry if i asked a silly question but i've been thinking about this even from the day i got my device. well, it sounds logical to me since battery meter which is in the system tray would always check how much you have left? and that involves a bit of processing right? but is it negligible compared to not putting a meter at all in a whole day scenario? do you think you can save atleast half an hour of battery life in a day by not putting a battery meter?
Guest silvos3189 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 i believe... it would help more if you turn off all your tasks and apps and etc since for the phone... even if you lock the screen, all that does is turn off the screen but all the programs under it is still running. I actually realized that when I used this MoCo app for activating 3 apps when tilitng forward, left, and right. Some reason everytime I unlock my phone, the 3 apps are always running. Turns out it keeps on running even after lock screen. So best to just turn off wifi, turn off apps, turn off backlight always, turn cpu performance to low, and I can guarentee you'll save a lot more battery life than just finding a way to get rid of battery meter?

Guest silvos3189 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 lol i would probably just get a portable charger if i was desperately in need for even half an hour of battery. My battery lasts me alright for the time being... around 12 hours a day at least (probably more since i get home after 12 hours and no longer keep track) and all I use it for is calling and texting.
