Guest PCSPhone Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) Help! After a soft reset, my Omnia II won't go into power saving mode if I set a password with the screen lock function. Without a password, everything is fine. It looks like the phone got stuck during the boot-up process and can't go into power saving. I'm scheduling an automated backup during the night (which force a soft reset) and wake up with dead battery every time :) . Is this a ROM issue and can it be fixed? Guest touchprogeek Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 I have a Bell Omnia as well. Can't say I have this problem, just something similar, when my phone is connected to my computer via USB I can't put it in standby either. My best guess is a conflict between the software I've installed and the OS on the phone. My recommendation for you and me is to do a Hard Reset and see if that fixes the problem. For you, it sounds like your only option at this point. Backup all your important info from your phone onto your computer. Then go to Settings->Memory Settings->Clear Memory. I think this will do a Hard Reset of your phone and completely erase all settings and put the phone back to the way it was the day you bought it. Hope this helps!
Guest PCSPhone Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 I did put my phone back to factory with a hard reset but the problem is still there. You can easily reproduce it. Just go into "Settings-->Security-->Password Lock and check the "Prompt if phone unused for", put a password then click OK. Now reboot the phone and it will get stuck in power mode until the battery drains. Event if you activate power saving options.

Guest PCSPhone Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 My HTC Touch running WM6.5 didn't have this problem. But then it was a customized ROM.
