Guest omnieyes Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 Hi there, Ok, so I've picked up my new i8000 and thought i'd download a game so I picked Flight Commander. I run it and it's very choppy like the frame rate must be about 2fps! A bit of background: so far I've installed a trial of SPB shell and some music. The phone is still running the original firmware and WM 6.1. My internet connection at the moment isn't robust enough to try downloading ROM's etc so I have to wait a bit longer to play with it. I also tried installing the OpenGL in the stickies but that made no difference? ANy help would be appreciated as I don't want to get anymore games if I can't get this one sorted out. Cheers

Cheers It looks like the makers included the libgles_cm.dll file in their install directory. If you delete (rename) that file, you'll get normal performance...however on mine at least (with the latest libgles_cm.dll from here) I'm getting quite a bit of video tearing.
Guest omnieyes Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Thanks guys. I tried renaming the file (as below) but nothing changed. I've noticed some tearing too. I also noted all this before installing the openGL library. So the lib has made no difference so far. The following is the list of libs I have in \windows directory. libEGL 02/09/09 libgles_cl 24/09/09 libgles_cm_test (the one I renamed) 22/11/09 libgles_mn 12/11/09 libGLESv1_CM 02/09/09 libGLESv2 02/09/09 I bought my phone about 2 weeks ago now. Should all of these be there? Cheers

The only files you need are: libGLESv2.dll libEGL.dll (these two are in ROM, so you can't delete them anyway) libGLES_CM.dll (please make sure you're using version 0.257 of this one) You may put the latter of these files into your game's installation folder. If there is already such a file present, overwrite it.
Guest Goodge Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Should all of these be there? Cheers You need to delete the extra one in the games install directory, in Program Files. You shouldn't need to be messing with the ones you already had in the \Windows\ directory.

You shouldn't need to be messing with the ones you already had in the \Windows\ directory. If I delete the 3 dll files from Game folder under Program files, the game start with no pictures. If I keep the files, the game is very slow? Can you please advice about the final solution?

Guest omnieyes Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Wicked. Renamed the old libgles_cm.dll in the \flight commander directory and pasted the new 0.2.5.7 file into \windows. Works a treat. Thanks for all the help guys. :D It does still come up with a "Send/Don't Send" error upon closing but I think that's more to do with the installation and I may try removing it and re-installing but for now I'm just happy it runs well! Cheers

Guest bkf1 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 appreciate it google didnt come up useful ones thanks Finally I have found a proper library here: http://omnia2gl.sourceforge.net/ Just copy it into \Windows folder on your PDA (or into folder with game/app and replace old one). Tested with official JG4 on FlightCommander.

Guest Zeemon Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I've solved about white background but i have to reset the phone if i want to play again after closing it. How did you solve it?
Guest knank Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Sorry not to post it earlier i had no time . Blank Screen: The maps are in JPG, all other images are in png. What i've done is convert that images to png and then edit the xml of each map to redirect to the new png image, and voilĂ . - Planes are too fast (compared with android version): Just edit the planes xml to slow them down, just put a lower number. - After completting a game the menus are blank again and if you exit the game and then open it again, it shows an error with the dll, and you can't run it again until you reset your device. I have no sollution to this one, but if anyone can help us . It's not perfect but it's playable, of course android version it's better) Enjoy it B)
