What makes you think it is 6.5.1? It's looks similar to my phone, and I have 6.5 AFAIK

aha, so that's the difference :)

There are a few major changes on 6.5.1. The bar across the top is several pixels thinner, and the start menu button is gone. Instead the start menu is at the bottom right corner, and the bottom bar is larger (easier to tap). Tab sheets are also layed out differently.

I wish to have 6.5.1 on my Omnia too, but look at xda-dev. Thera are Roms with 6.5.3

How often will we rom our device, if there could be Samsung updates with 6.7, 7.0 (?)...

there will be no update from samsung to WM 6.5.xx i think because its too expensive for Samsung.....

I hope for a chance to update a normally 6.5.xx rom whith more useable space.....

Just fyi, manufacturers like Samsung get updates to Windows Mobile for free. It costs them nothing (in terms of software costs) to give us the update to 6.5.1, etc. The only cost is for them to build the rom and let us download it. Seeing as they have 6.5 working, I suspect swapping out a few files to 6.5.1 is rather easy.

It's kinda half way between both positions actually... its not the WM core that buils up the real costs, but the human costs of implementing such WM core with the OEM drivers, apps, memory handlers and customizations needed for their hardware, Omnia2 in this case,... including lots and lots of testing and quality control.... ALTHOUGH, as regards last WM 6.5 official roms we've been seeing around, either they spend 2 bucks in this last part, or samsung should consider new capacitied developers :D because such ROMS still include very serious issues: memory leaks... buggy programs, un-optimized drivers... and so...

I still would like to know where the guys from the video could get the 6.5.1 ROM, just curiosity^^

That ROM is cooked, for sure.

Look at the on-screen keyboard and how it overlaps bottom bar.

This is common problem for some apps expecting fixed size of bottom bar.

If it could be some beta/testing ROM from samsung, they would correct their on-screen keyboard.

I'm not sure if WiFi guide was the main point of that video or show their 6.5.1 cooked ROM.

Just like classic holliwood movie where you see some boring talk on foreground and most funniest things happened on background :D
