First, make sure you have the samsung driver installed

In UMDL, once you hit detect and the phone is connected just hit the restart button/restart and it will detect the phone

Good Luck

eject and unplug your phone

Open Windows Mobile device manager

uncheck all the boxes and press okay

reset your computer

Turn your phone off

open up the UMDL

select the PDA box

navigate to and select a .bin file (rom file)

In the UMDL click DETECT

Plug in your phone and turn it on

wait for the phone to finish and reset on it's own.

as long as "allow usb connections" is unchecked in mobile device manager you should be good to go
