Guest iWiNMo Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) HTC Pure Style: Creative New Theme for Mobile Shell 3.5.1 “HTC Pure Style” is a cool new theme for Mobile Shell 3.5.1. This theme moves all the essential components of Mobile Shell to a vertical sidebar, much like Samsung’s TouchWiz UI with its widgets. The bar sticks to the left side on every screen within Mobile Shell, but the main lifestyle sliding panel system remains intact. This gives you the ability to customize your panels and have quick access to vital parts of the shell. Think of it as an expanded version of the default menu bar. It was created by the talented theme makers at MobileCustom, who also made the great Hero themes for MS3-3.5. Features and installation guide are listed below. Bottom bar functions (left to right): carousel, favorite programs and edit menu. Sidebar functions (top to bottom): • Messages – the left corner houses your SMS, Email and missed calls. Clicking on them will take you to those areas of Mobile Shell. It's convenient because it displays your new message count at all times. • Favorites – this links you to the familiar favorite contacts panel. • Weather – clicking here will grant you access to the MS weather panel. Once there, tapping the bottom will switch between current conditions and the 5-day forecast. • Home – the core of Mobile Shell and this theme. Hit this icon and you will always return to your lifestyle sliding panels. • Launcher – leads you to SPB Menu/Launcher and is skinned with TouchFLO-like icons. • Wireless/Profiles – change your phone profile, backlight setting and enable/disable wireless connections here. • Agenda – appointments and calendar. • Contacts –all of your contacts are displayed. Installation: Make sure you update to the latest version of Mobile Shell, which is v3.5.1 RC. If you already have it installed, it's recommended to do a clean re-install. Next, download the HTC Pure Style CAB from MobileCustom (must register to access file), install and then soft reset. Unfortunately, the theme is only available for WVGA devices, but they’re currently working to expand it to VGA/QVGA/WQVGA. News Source Developer's site Edited November 24, 2009 by iWiNMo

Guest ahillies Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 i had the same problem but managed to solved it. U just need to install in "device".
Guest naTpuoT87 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Yes You need to install it to main memory
Guest iWiNMo Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Thanks to last two comments since I didn't mention it myself, yes, you HAVE TO Install it in Device only (Not on "MyStorage" or "Storage Card") By the way, It consumes about 5MB memory, in case you were wondering! :D
Guest mikiemad Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Great job, very nice more, more, :D
Guest cronaldo Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 owh....hoho...need to install to main memory. that's why it don't work before.
Guest Snow02 Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 This is a ram whore. You might as well run the stock Samsung interface. I went from 65 MB free to 32 MB after installing this. I didn't plan on using it really, just wanted to see the implementation. The other issue is that widgets can get stuck behind that left bar. It's a nice looking skin, but definitely not without issues/tradeoffs.
Guest insane73 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Great job, very nice more, more, smile.gif Well it looks as if there is a 2.0 out now. the site has a translator at the bottom of the screen. This skin is a bit of a ram whore as mentioned, but I like it. Heres hoping the new theme is a bit better. 2.0 can be found here
Guest insane73 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Does anyone know how to add to the favourites menu in the screenshot? You know the one with the heart. I am having an issue remembering. I know I did it once because i remember putting the calculator in there as a test.

I am having an issue remembering. I know I did it once because i remember putting the calculator in there as a test. The heart thing links to your favourite contacts. I just installed this on my Omnia i900 and finding it frustrating. When you add widgets they disappear under the side menu bar and you can't get to them or delete them. Also had a problem with the convert to English cab. When you enable it the size of the sidebar shrinks to another resolution. Otherwise seems really nice.
Guest insane73 Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 When you add widgets they disappear under the side menu bar and you can't get to them or delete them. If you grab the widget from over the side bar you can actually bring it out. I have been using the new version 2.0 and am liking it better. The editor is still in french, but it is only one cab to install and is much smoother with the option to add and remove the new side bar from any page.
