Question about downgrading from 6.5 to 6.1..

Hello everyone,

I am currently using:

PDA: I8000NXXIJ9

CSC: I8000XSOIJ2

Phone: I8000DXIJ1

Actually, this is the original ROM which I got preloaded.

I had couple of issues with memory leakage and GPS slow connection. Therefore, I am considering trying one of the available official WM 6.1.

The question is, while downgrading, which is the minimum items in the ROM should be installed, without losing the device stability (PDA only, or PDA & CSC or more...)

The second Q, which is the most recommeded WM 6.1 official ROM, concerning Memory management & & GPS connectivity. (IH9 or II1 or ....what?)

If you can provide me with a link to the proposed version, it will be highly appreciated.

I can get you couple of links for different versions of 6.1 if you are interested.

but I am still waiting for the best way to downgrade from 6.5 to 6.1

it depend if you need chinese input or not.

the last multilanguage stable/fast 6.1 rom is H5 using famih4 csc phone dxh2. Never had any problem with this combination.

But again the question is, while downgrading, should we downgrade the Eboot as well or just the PDA, cSC & phone?

Concerning the H5, frankly I prefer it without chineese, I mean i do not need it, so why to have it..

normally you can flash only pda and csc.But is your system is not stable you will have to flash the eboot and the phone.

normally for my case when i downgrade i just flash everything.

H5 do not have chinese input.

Im considering II1 as the latest available official 6.1 ROM....have you tried it? and do u know the best Phone ROM that give best GPS connectivity?

H5 gor main storage 140 MB but no chinese.

IH5 only without the Chinese input. The Chinese systen was inside which support Traditional and simplified Chines. There are many Chinese input for you to install if you wanted to.

Wowowo....i think it worth to give it a try.... I think I should consider H5 as well..coz I have no need for chineese.

but how about memory leakage....I mean...after full day of using the mobile...how much is the memory left?

Guys, i'm using my omnia 2 for 1 month now. My omnia come with WM 6.1 affer i upgrade to WM 6.5 i facing the some problem !(Low RAM memory). So i downgrade to WM 6.1 at Samsung care center wow. i got back 70 mb of RAM memory after install spb shell 3.5.1. The phone is great ,fast :D  no problem with running 4-5 apps(still had 40mb of memory). Guys just downgrade to 6.1.U will love it ! :( my WM firmware:
