Flickering and whitening of samsung Omnia II screen

Im new to this site. I upgraded my omnia to wm6.5 from 6.1 using secany's Rom. Everything went well. After a few days a program got frozen and I had to do a soft reset ( reset was mistakenly done with the end of paper clip instead of a toothpick as decribed in the manual though I used the real reset hole in between the sim card and the microsd card and not the "antenna hole" as mistakenly described in the manual). Since then there is a flickering band at the lower end of the screen when the phone wakes up or while charging. This band extends to both ends of the lower part of the screen and is gradually getting wider and extending upwards and getting whiter though one can still read through it. I have tried all sorts of tricks to find out the cause including a hard reset, putting the phone on and off several times, taking out and reinserting the battery without any success . This phone is less than a month old. Can anyone give me a helpful advise about how to solve this issue?

If it is still doing this after a hard reset then it is either an issue with the ROM, but I would have expected to see the problem as soon as the ROM was flashed. This leads to a possible hardware fault and may need the phone to be sent to a service center.

I had flashed it with 2 different ROMS and the problem persists. It The Roms work fine. It looks like a hardware issue. Im searching for a service center to send it to. SamsungUSA does not offer any support because it is not there phone. Looks like a Singapore version based on the codes after the model name. Thanks
