Guest axc Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial version 1.2 in my i8000. I figured out that if i press the call button on my bluetooth earpiece first and then press the voice speed dial that the dialing gets routed to my earpiece(meaning i can speak the name and get confirmation on my earpiece). If i just press the voice speed dial i have to speak to the phone and the confirmation is also on the phone. My question is how can i when just pressing the call button on the earpiece wake up the voice and activate voice dialing? It used to work perfectly on my i900 with Khuanchai 6.1 rom with b/t fix. It seems is halfway there, just have to link the call button to voice speed dial.

I haven't got a device yet but I'm choosing between Omnia II, Acer Neotouch, HD2, and Nokia's N900. It seems voice dialing works really poorly on the latest generation HTC devices, as on the Acer Neotouch. The N900 doesn't have it at all (yet). So I'm curious about the Omnia II. At least you got it working.
Guest dwallersv Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 The i920 has the same problem, but with a voice recognition software called Nuance. It's quite good (missing some features of MS VoiceCommand, has others that VC does not -- on balance, I like it better), but I can not figure out how to get it to work over bluetooth. I'm using the Plantronics Voyager 855 headset, which supports Handsfree and A2DP. So, whenever it connects, it always shows as connected as an A2DP device. However, when making/answering calls from the phone, it does what I expect, and connects as mono Handsfree for the duration of the call. What's more, when I hold the talk button on the earpiece and wait for the bloop, I get the usual "ba-deep!" from the phone over the BT headset, and hear that a channel has opened, but then... nothing. Any ideas?
Guest axc Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 BTW i forgot to mention... when you click on the call button on the bluetooth earpiece, ALL sounds get routed to the earpiece (i went crazy trying to find a way to get this working on my i900). You can play music, videos and my personal favorite slingplayer and you hear everything on your mono bluetooth. I don't know if this is something that the I8000 was able to do on its own or that the cyberon had something to do with it.
