SMS application stuck with a lot of messages

Hi all,

I got an Omnia II WM6.5 original rom.

I have a lot of SMS messages, and I used microsoft's MyPhone to transfer them from the good old Qtek 8310 to the new phone.

They all have been transferred without any problems, but they are a lot, more than 3.000.

Since then the SMS app (Samsung's original one) takes forever to show the SMS... the app is not responding even after a lot of time (tried also 15 minutes).

I know that one solution is to get rid of the old messages, but they were handled without problems on WM 6.1 on Qtek 8310... Not as much poweful as the Omnia II.

Any ideas?
