Guest asus535 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) I upgraded OmniaII from wm 6.1 to wm6.5 ij9 When I called that Omnia, I realised that voice is crackling, terribly. I can describe that voice. Run recorder program. Select options-> record format -> AMR format. record your voice, and listen. It is 8kKz 16 bit 12.80 kbps and crackling. What it must like be? Select options -> record format -> MP3 High. Now record your voice again, and listen. SO what is the problem? I could access another OmniaII with wm6.1 ROM. Dialed *#0002*28346# and reached to GAIN program. I noted every setting of VOICE lines. And saw that, wm 6.5 has changed Voice Speaker -> Input Volume -> MGNL3 to 0110 it was 1001 in wm 6.1 ROM, and was changed by wm6.5 (I don't remember what to). So I changed it to 1001 again. Now, voice is perfect. So, here are other factory default voice settings of Turkish WM6.1 ROM, for your reference: PDA: I8000JUII2 CSC: I8000TURII1 Phone: I8000XXIH8 I bet, a lot of wm6.5 users aren't aware of that problem. Just give your phone to a friend, and listen incoming voice from your wm6.5 i8000. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Voice Speaker: OUTPUT VOLUME L1VL2 - 101 HPG7 - 1101 L3VL7 - 10 OVL7 - 11000 OVR7 - 11000 INPUT VOLUME MGNR7: 101 MGNL3: 1001 * IVL7: 11111111 IVR7: 10000000 PCM VOLUME: BVL7: 11000 MAX 9877 SPKVOL4: 11000 HPLVOL4:0 HPRVOL4: 0 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Voice Receiver: OUTPUT VOLUME L1VL2 - 101 HPG7 - 1011 L3VL7 - 10 OVL7 - 11000 OVR7 - 11000 INPUT VOLUME MGNR7: 11 MGNL3: 101 IVL7: 11110001 IVR7: 10011001 PCM VOLUME: BVL7: 11000 MAX 9877 SPKVOL4:0 HPLVOL4:0 HPRVOL4:0 ------------------------------------------------------------ Force Speaker: OUTPUT VOLUME L1VL2 - 101 HPG7 - 1011 L3VL7 - 10 OVL7 - 11000 OVR7 - 11000 INPUT VOLUME MGNR7: 101 MGNL3: 101 IVL7: 10010001 IVR7: 10010001 PCM VOLUME: BVL7: 11000 MAX 9877 SPKVOL4:11110 HPLVOL4:10000 HPRVOL4:10000 ------------------------------------------------------------ Music Speaker: OUTPUT VOLUME L1VL2 - 101 HPG7 - 1011 L3VL7 - 10 OVL7 - 11000 OVR7 - 11000 INPUT VOLUME MGNR7: 101 MGNL3: 110 IVL7: 11011001 IVR7: 10010001 PCM VOLUME: BVL7: 11000 MAX 9877 SPKVOL4: 11110 HPLVOL4:0 HPRVOL4: 0 Edited December 10, 2009 by asus535
