Guest tmn0004676 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Hi Please can someone help me with a query? If you have an open 3G and Wifi connection....if you then decide to connect to internet does the wifi connection take precedence or do they both get used. Can the priority be configured somehow? Alternativley, if you only have a 3G connection open and connect to internet....what happens if you then open a wifi connection....does the data connection stay on the 3G network...or is it dynamically allocated to the wifi connection....or again, are they both used. thanks
Guest qtilt Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 i would think that wifi would take precedence for both cases, as it has a higher bandwidth.
Guest PCSPhone Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 You have to manually disconnect the 3G connection to switch to WIFI and vice versa. There is no automated process if both signal are good. I've tried it already.

If it is set to 'WAP' it will connect through 3G by default ... even if you have your WiFi on. However if you turn off 3G BEFORE opening your browser it will then use your WiFi connection.
