Guest Doombringer Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) I bought my omnia2 two month ago. It is my first winmo device so after a while I decided to format, and I use master reset code *2767*3855#. after format I set default save place for camera as storage card , and then when I take any pictures, one of two thing happens: 1) if I set show after capture, it freezes and stays unresponsive for like 2 minutes. shows picture but unable to click(or touch whatever you call it), after 2 minute or so the buttons at left and right shows up and phone returns normal. if I tilt the phone after capture and before seeing buttons, it vibrates but I dont know if this is a clue about my problem. 2) if I set preview off, then I can capture 1 picture just fine, but if I take a second, then crosshair locks green(or white if I have taken picture with single step push) I can see camera working, if I move phone display changes accordingly, after like 2 minutes, it returns normal and ready to take pictures again I am using phone in turkish language, with offical rom, never flashed. my card is route 66 branded so I am not sure what brand it is. I have tried hard reset,(pushing 4 buttons at once),master reset, resetting by samsung menu(return factory defaut or something) I have formatted micro sd card like 4 times, with pc, with phone, no change. I also resetted main memory(2 gb for me) by samsung menu. I am still unable to save pictures to storage card in reasonable time. if I select main memory for default save location everything works fine. my phone: pda:I8000JUII2 CSC:I8000TURII1 TELEFON:I8000XXIH8 sorry for poor english Edited December 5, 2009 by Doombringer

You can do this with the phone, but that doesnt work - you need to download this sdformatter: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/d..._formatter.html (doesnt matter if your card is not on the list, it is a generic formatter). You will need to be able to plug your sd card into your PC - there are adapters and even USB ones for that: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photo...n-257150371.htm Anyway, once i mounted the SD card with my PC, I could see that it wasn't formatted correctly - had some extra shite on it. Formatted it and it now works correctly in phone and I can use camera as expected when configured to use the sd card. (but i curently have 6GB of music on my 8GB sd card - should have bought a bigger one). Hope this helps, maybe someone could post this as a tip for anyone experiencing slowness with anything pointing at sd card :-)
Guest iWiNMo Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) you need to download this sdformatter: http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/d..._formatter.html May I correct the link? Here is the link Thanks by the way :D Edited December 5, 2009 by iWiNMo
Guest Doombringer Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 It works perfectly. thanks very much. I think that if win mo cant format disk correctly, it must be on sticky part of the forum, I mean this can cause million different problems. I read your touch player reply, now there is a camera topic, what is next? file explorer? adobe reader?
Guest toppwill Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 @ iwinmo: thanks for fixing the link, i should have tested it after posting :-) @doombinger: yeah, i might put up a post and see if it can be made sticky or added to tecchan's tweaks or something. but yes, if there is something wrong with the formatter on the phone, it would be great if it was fixed. But as with many of these bugs, is it a WM or SS bug?? btw, i suppose I should also have said that any data on the card will be wiped when formatting so you should transfer it somewhere else first. but hopefully anyone reading these forums will know that ;-)
