Profile settings and volume

Hey Guys

I just recently purchased the i8000 and have been trying to figure out the settings on this phone. I've searched the forums but have no found anything on this topic so I thought I'll see if anyone has any answers. I'm a student and at school I like to but the profile on the phone to vibrate which puts the ringer to 0 and the system volume is at 4 or 5, the problem is that I dont get any system volume. The concern is that I cant use my media player as no sound is played with my mp3's. when I do go to play music in vibrate mode I get a pop up asking if I want to allow playback in this profile setting and I press yes but still nothing. So I was wondering if there is anything I could do...Thanks..
