Guest Uboy Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Been meaning to ask this for a while now, but following a hard reset a few weeks back and setting up everything on the phone from scratch, all software and reg tweaks etc my mail inbox just pops up by itself uncalled at the most inconvenient times like when editing the registry or using my sat nav in the car or just any time at all. I guess it is a result of some reg tweak or setting I have adjusted but I can't seem to fix the problem. I am hoping I am just being stupid and have overlooked something small, so if anyone has any ideas I would be very greatfull. :D
Guest deepower Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Something like that happened to me also. I was re-flashing my phone becouse it just couldn't boot up (cuts samsung animation halfway and the screen keeps illuminated) and was installing/tweaking stuff according to a list that I made. after a couple of (actually like 4) re-attempts i just couldn't find what was causing the problem (becouse after i finish every item on my check list the phone fails to boot) then i realised that this happened on the last steps on my check list. Which was to change the reg. value of the default IM (samsung keypad) to fingerkeyboard2.1 . So i skipped it in the 5th attempt and everything seemed fine. My advice would be to carefully, but REALLY carefully check every single tweak after the flashing process. Hope it helps, deepower
Guest Tarqon Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 I had this problem before but since my last flash I haven't encountered it again. I think it's related to a poorly set up exchange acount? If you have set up exchange through the windows mobile device manager try deleting that one and configuring it on your phone instead.
Guest Uboy Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Thanks for the answers guys. :D So I'v deleted the account and set it up again. This time however I let Yahoo set it up for me just by following the links from thier mail page to set up my email on the phone. They send out a text message with the setting in and it configures itself, so I guess I'll know if it has worked soon. At the moment it is downloading 319 emails, I thought Id read them all, well my partner has over 7000 unread emails on her account! :(
