Guest DanielNocelli Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Hello people! Yesterday I upgraded my I8000/O2 wm6.1 to wm6.5 with the "New PC Studio", and hours after this I've found a problem with the screen. I'll try to explain the problem. After some minutes turned on, the screen shows lot of random red, blue, green and white pixels and the device is going to be stucked. Slowly it started to get brighter, with lot of white pixels. The device is being slower, and more slower and more... Until it stuck! I've already tried to make a hard reset, in dial keypad and on the buttons, but the problem continues. :( This problem can be a hardware problem or it can only be a software problem? If I install another ROM this problem can be solved? If yes, how can I install a new ROM? Please help me. Thanks a lot for the attention, and sorry for the really bad english. :D Daniel Nocelli. ***If some brasilian people knows how to help me send me an e-mail in portuguese and/or add me in live messenger: [email protected]***
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Before you try and reflash with another ROM I would try a hard reset first.

Guest iWiNMo Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 You may be interested to have an "LCD Test" first to see how severe is the issue! Just dial *#0*# to access to "LCD Test" page, work with primary colors tests and dimming option to see if mentioned problems are persistent (use hexagonal/cube key to return to main test page after each command) , then if you wanted, you have the chance to execute a Hard-reset later on (It won't void your warranty) if you are not willing to avail of your (possible) Samsung Warranty! Then If Hard-Reset didn't solve your problem and worse if you didn't have any Samsung Warranty! That's the time to re-flash your ROM which is not that scary that you might have heard of!
