NETCF 3.5 or NETCF 3.7

Hi guys ;)

I use NETCF3.5 but I read in some posts that 3.7 is better for WM6.5 rom's.

Is this true? I've looked in Microsoft website but I didn't see any information for NETCF3.7

Anyone has the 3.7 installed? Wich are the improvements?

ASAIK, CF 3.7 is a leaked version and is not an official release. I'll stick with the official 3.5 for stability and also don't notice reports that says 3.7 is faster.

Personally I do not recommend NETCF3.7 because some apps doesn't works properly (for ex Autumn Dynasty)

We can see the version of our NETCF using this command: \Windows\cgautil.exe

I made it only appears to me the version 2.0 but I've installed 3.5...is this normal??

You need to enable NETCF 3.5 in system registry.

Open any registry editor, go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework

change 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0 then change 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1 wait 30 secs then soft reset

It's all OK now...

I've downloaded NETCF3.5 from Microsoft website, installled and installed the NETCF Configuration Tool application. Made the changes and soft-reset.

Now when I use cgacutil.exe the infromation that appears is like yours, the 2 versions: 2.0 and 3.5

Anyone notice a difference in performance w/ 3.5 installed? I'm still running 2.0, but don't see why I"d need 3.5. I know some apps need it, but I guess fi I don't need it I won't insatll it...

Any way of actually uninstalling 2.0 to free up space?

Would be great if the ROMs came with 3.5 aye :-)
