hi ock,

im currently using your titanium 23518 and again very impressed with the speed. hopefully you can apply the kinetic scrolling on other applications like messaging.

and im also hoping that you will still release titanium builds in the future :)

again thanks for this excellent rom.

btw, does 23518_M2D has internet sharing ? B)

logically should have, as 23518 UL has and it is working :)

Hello wonderful roms I wanted to ask 2 things:

1) you could make a lite version with the samsung keyboard black

2) you could do a ROM in Italian?

Thanks =)

Hello,

Great ROM! (i use ock_M2D_23518.exe)

Question: is there any indication for that battery drain that Ock talks about (in message 1) ?

Posted (edited)
Hi ock, thanks for your roms.

I upgraded from 28205 to 23518. The 3G connection is a big problem.

No matter what I did, the connection was empty, there is nothing.

If I don't use "automatically configure connection", I still could config it manually.

But with "automatically configure connection", everything got messed. I even couldn't config it manually.

And the "operator" show nothing, nothing I could select.

I am from Taiwan, don't know if it's related with Chinese font.

Don't think it's font-related. I'll see if I can identify what's the prob. Not too sure myself.

here u go.

actually it was a chinese input method and also support eng input together.

was using it very well in ur last realease but dunno why now cant key in any symbol even "." also can't..

Does it realated to no chinese support in regional language? u last release got that?

or because of removed Samsung keyboard??

Try installing the chinese font

Hi All,

I'm on 23518 Titanium - excellent ROM!

some problems I found so far -

1. Would like the option to set vibration when using the direction-pad - it's not in the CPL anymore...

2. Can't access phone options from within phone application

3. Can't access Audio Settings in phone dialer (using #0002*xxxxx codes) and also from "favorite hackings" - no go.

4. Google maps crashes no matter what - I haven't tried the cab you posted yet.

1. Install the attached cab.

2. Go to settings - personal - phone instead, it does the same thing.

3. I've left out soundtester by mistake. Install the cab on my first post.

4. Try the cab  :) It should work.

Can u please include it in the future realese ? and if you want i can provide you my script and XDA_UC as an OEM packges

Thanks for your reply

One disadvantage of XDA_UC is the lack of a progress dialog and I've used my own customised script plus autorun to do cab installations. Unfortunately, autorun doesn't seem to support installation to my storage. I don't mind looking at your OEM pkg  ;)

hi ock, im currently using your titanium 23518 and again very impressed with the speed. hopefully you can apply the kinetic scrolling on other applications like messaging. and im also hoping that you will still release titanium builds in the future  ;) again thanks for this excellent rom.

Messaging seems to use a different scrolling engine. Not sure which is involved. As for a normal titanium build, it's still a big maybe. 3 releases and providing support for them is quite a bit of work.

logically should have, as 23518 UL has and it is working B)

Yup, Internet Sharing is also in the M2D version.

Hello wonderful roms I wanted to ask 2 things:

2) you could do a ROM in Italian?

Thanks =)

1) I try to have as much free space available as possible, but the keyboard takes up quite a bit of space and so I don't intend to include it in the UL vesion. You can install it by cab, however.

2) Unfortunately, I don't have much time to build and test more than 2 builds. You can consider Bruno's roms. He has some Italian ones, I believe.

Hi OCK,

Thank you for your ROMs and great support in this forum.

What a great ROM!!! I am using your latest M2D. No major issues at all... Fast and stable... I do have a question though. Somehow, date disappeared from my home screen (see the screenshot). Any idea how to fix it?

Thank you.

Hi ock...

Is there something wrong with your ock_M2D_23518.zip in MediaFire? I cant seem to download it, both Titanium and UltraLite are fine thou.

Hi OCK,

After the usage of several days, I would say this rom rocks.

Fast GPS position fixed, stable, normal bettary consumption...

The problems of connections and operator setting, I post some pic to describe it clearly.

The operator settings show nothing:pic1

I added "go online" by myself:pic2

There was nothing in every connection profile, including "go online":pic3

It's strange when I updated the weather or get online, there was a modem named "my connection", but I couldn't find it anywhere:pic4

I added "my connection" before, but after that, I couldn't see it any more.

Hi OCK,

E-mails come with Big5 code couldn't display correctly, but UTF-8 did well.

How can I do to add Big-5 into the "e-mail>view>language"?

Hi OCK,

I noticed an increase in battery time when i started using ock_M2D_23518 on my Omnia! (would you believe that i had just ordered a new battery because i thought that it was worn out?)

By the way: is it normal that i can't read my rss feeds (with speedreader) AND listen to music (nitrogen) at the same time? (when i start the music and then start speedreader the music stops). Something else i noticed is that touchflo often restarts itself when i close an application (message on homescreen: "tab here to start TF"). ?

OCK thx for gr8 rom agn, using ur titanium for 4 days now without any issues except the samsung dialer skin. if i change it then i get a second start menu icon. i don't know if its only me. any clue?

EDIT:: 2nd picture shows the incident after i changed back to normal dial pad.

Hi everyone.

Thanks ock for this rom.

Everything works okay, even though I faced some minor problems (listed below):

Problems:

1- In the Communication Manager, when I switch wifi on, if I click on the Avanced softkey it does nothing

2- I have faced the infamous wifi sleep bug (if I have wifi switched on and the phone goes in sleep mode, I am not able to wake it up if I choose to keep wifi on during sleep mode (in power settings)). It happens 100% of the times I try and the only way I have to wake it up is to soft reset. I even tried to call my phone when it freezes this way and it wont ring, nor wake up.

Questions:

3- (question) Why you did not use s2u2 anymore?

4- (question) Is Smartlock cooked in? If so how can I access it?

5- (question) Can I install s2u2 by cabs and use it?

6- (question) Is there a way I can make the Phonebook app the default one?

Advices:

5- (advice) Could you please integrate the fixes (cabs posted in this topic, remove audiogaincontrol) in the rom? Just to make it cleaner

6- (advice, just to let you know) My default button assignments are: Torchbutton (Camera), Camera (Camera hold), Total Commander (Main menu), Task Manager (Main menu hold).

Now the reports:

Google Maps works ok, even with GPS on.

All the cabs posted fixed the problems they were made for.

Battery usage normal.

GPS Xtra working.

Alarms work without problems.

I installed advanced config, apptodate, cleanram, cleartemp, finger keyboard, official facebook app, htc album and audio manager, opera mobile beta 10, nodata, total commander and torch button.

Activesync with an exchange server works fine.

Hi guys,

I'm using the latest and greatest (so far) M2D ROM.

OCK you are the man for the job that's for sure.

Here is the question I have.

Is there anyway to assign a hardware key to smartlock? It is not in the list of apps available for assignment. I've also tried to find the .exe for smartlock in windows folder. The idea is to create a link to the start menu and then use it in M2D programs tab, but i don't see any exe. Is there any other workaround available?

Thank you

Are you on the UL version? Not sure if it's linked to siplistener though I suspect something else..

Try the attached cab  ;)

Fast and stable... I do have a question though. Somehow, date disappeared from my home screen (see the screenshot). Any idea how to fix it? Thank you.

You can try copying the xml file attached below into the Windows folder.

The operator settings show nothing:pic1

I added "my connection" before, but after that, I couldn't see it any more.

I'll look into this, it has been reported earlier.

Hi OCK, E-mails come with Big5 code couldn't display correctly, but UTF-8 did well.

How can I do to add Big-5 into the "e-mail>view>language"?

Not too sure on this, honestly.  B) It seems IE doesn't display some Chinese char also.

This is the infamous autokill/autoclose bug, you can read more about it. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a fix for this under WM6.5. I'm trying to see if adjusting pagepool size will alleviate the problem.

It occurs to me sometimes. Does a soft reset fix the problem?

OCK, i think it's related to missing "Chinese" in Regional Setting, IE will only show if Chinese appear in Regional Setting. last build 23619, it's okay, not in 23518, seem like missing B)
