i had same problem with an UL version(24604). For spb software(i use spb shell, keyboard and weather) and not only(i got many bugs with that version) we need a classic UI. Stick with 21892 UL until ock will release a newer version with classic UI. 21893 is not that different from 21892.

Yes, I did it. I'm using OCK's UltraLite 21892 build now, without almost anything pre-installed and with the Classic Titanium.

The SPB keyboard's settings ARE WORKING FINE now, I made my options and I've set the greek language!... +1000

The 1-2 things I don't like in this rom, are these:

1) The battery indicator on the taskbar... actually IS NOT a true 1% indicator! I have a good/right .dll for this issue, I've run the Certs.cab and I copy-paste that .dll in Windows' directory, I soft-reset my device... and NOTHING CHANGED!!!

2) The "classic" Samsung sound for "stylus-ticking" when you're pressing the screen, is way too loud - and I want to replace it with my own. They told me to rename mine as "Alarm2" and replace the "original" Alarm2 in Window's directory with mine... and NOTHING CHANGED!

3) The rom found my SIM's settings (for wap, internet, etc...) automaticly, I pressed "YES" and everything done... but when I've tryied to establish an email account or an internet connection, THE PHONE IS NOT connected, no matter what I tryied!

These issues, for now.

I already tried the solution posted to lord OCK about changing operator settings, but it didn´t worked. i didn´t find any cabs. I also installed a replacement home.dll found in other place, didn´t work also. Sudkoce I suspected first the same thing, because it update only once but i had other winmobile phone with me with manila also (i suppose is the same server) and it updated the weather in a matter of seconds. Do you guys think that reflashing the rom could be an option?

M8, I'm too a M2D fan... I was using OLDER M2D versions with NO problems... This new M2D build, "captured" from Mega, doesn't working properly in many different phone models. In i900 OMNIA (mine), trully doesn't working good.

So, my advice is to stick in OLDER versions - I do.

reinstall showcase then under showcase settings, don't check close button on right.

That would leave all other programs not to be closed to. Just wanted those specific 3 program not to be closed. Think what i'am searching fore is some kind of file for showcase where you can set an exception list.

Go to:

HKCU\Software\e-Natives Technology\Showcase\ExcludeProc

add the name of the .exe file that you want to exclude

First of all Congratulations to OCK, amazing job! I only have one question, yesterday I installed M2D Build 23637 ROM, all works perfect, fast, stable thats why I really want to stay with this build, but I have big trouble with the Manila Weather Tab, even though i configured it correctly it keep saying Unable to retrieve data for selected city when trying to update. The weather from the home tab works perfectly, I am using wifi as my internet connection. Any ideas how to solve this? I red your second post and tried the operator setting change with no results. Thanks in advance!

wait a minute, i´m using phee´s m2d version and I have not been able to update weather for the last 20 hours so i think it´s the weather source that has problems, before that weather update worked just great, like always.

we should wait to see if someone else reports trouble updating weahter.

Me too, same problem with new ROM 23637, today morning weather worked with old ROM.

But also tried with Opera via WLAN - weather does not work, BUT on Homescreen it does! Only on tab weather does not.

I have the UltraLite build of yours, you didn't install a Titanium Weather panel and I installed Showaco TitaniumWeather_v4.2 (and a weather fix cab)... but STILL I have a huge error pop-up, every time I'm trying to update. Of course, I put the correct zip code for Athens, from AccuWeather... and still nothing.

OCK... I've replaced the Alarm2 in Window's directory (that sound you told me is for "stylus ticking" on the screen)... but nothing happent, nothing changed. I have a fine low-sound "tick" wav and I want THAT one for "tick"...

in my device, alarm2.wav is not the sound of the stylus tick (i think it is the error sound, the alarm2.wav, when you get to the end of a list, etc). i cannot locate the sound file to the stylus tick. anyway, it doesn't bother me since i disabled the sound of stylus tick and installed touch response (set device ID to 11 after soft reset) to get haptic feedback everywhere in the omnia.

1) I chose the 10% for better stability

2) Not sure what you meant by "stylus ticking", you can try default.wav.

3) Have you tried the solution on my second post?

Obviously this is the best ROM here in Modaco :)

It will be tough, cos it was taken from the mega which doesn't support landscape mode. :mellow:

And on the issue of weather update, it seems somethings wrong with the weather server, that explains why people using other roms aren't able to update weather as well.
