Thoughts about Opera mobile compared to Opera Mini? is Mini still java? is there any reason to choose it instead of mobile?

Try Mini, is much faster and comfortable on Omnia!

i am using your m2dc rom and it is very fast and awesome..but i have a problem..in m2d tabs -> messages -> menu -> reply -> when i write somethings and send,my message is not send... sory my weak English..

Yes, there's a bug, it (m2d) appends ";" sign after name and that makes the address invalid.

If you manually delete the ";" in the Recipient field, it works.

tried it quickly... It may be faster, but in what way more comfortable? I like how opera mobile loads even a advanced-scripted site like facebook so tat it looks just as at my pc, don't know, maybe Ill keep them both around, mini for speed and mobile for heavier sites

slightly off the rom topic, but for setting opera mini as default browser, try googling smartmort, does the job well, and i found a few problems with opera mini as far as messages not sending on some social network sites/forums. the opera mobile 10 final is very slow with text input with touchpal, where as opera 10 mobile beta 3 is perfect with the text input, tried the final but went back to beta 3. opera mini 5 is very quick to load due to the server based shrinking of the page size, so is very good to have as default browser when using links from rss/twitter/etc. I do recommend Smartmort though (it allows you to decide which browser to use as well as set default, which is good for choosing skyfire for inbedded video, etc) , takes a bit of configuration, and i recommend mortbuttons to go with it to make the ui easier to use. :) here's the link- http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-downlo...-smartmort.html

while i'm here, i've been using nick's roms only, due to using bluetooth stereo a lot and have been avoiding srs wow, am interested in Ock's roms, can anyone report on the bluetooth stereo on these roms? thanks in advance

Just loaded 23545 Titanium Classic - seems excellent except that I cannot get the Marketplace to connect to server. After installing the bootstrap cab it asks if I want to download latest version but then comes up telling me there is a problem conecting to server and to check internet settings. Nothing else seems to have internet problems.

Anybody else with this problem?

a different version or something? I just downloaded the version Vince1970 suggested but I´m curious to know what you posted... :)

Slds,

The other link didn't work for me. When I click on it it comes out just as you see it with the 1..... and it's not correct.

I was looking at the poll results where I see that 331 people would want S2U2 cooked in the rom against 341 who don't want it.

I can't understand why so many people would want that in the rom when there are so often new updates. Over the last couple of month AC put out 3 updates. Why would you want to be stuck with it in your rom???

Am I missing something?

Hi Ock and everyone

I have a strange problem. Cooked Ock's Classic Manila rom and absolutely love it, but I ran into something interesting.

If I compose a new sms or forward it, the system seems to be fine.

But when I reply to an sms and press the send button, the phone just sits there and nothing happens?

Any ideas?

+1. Never worked good for me either. Its laggy, freezes and ive had the phone unlock itself too many times to count and dial accidently which is my biggest nightmare. Tried numerous times and versions but same issues. Thats why ive given up as it never done what its supposed to properly. Not to mention not being able to answer either.

I hope its never cooked in!!!

I had issue with 637 where the writes to registry wasn't remembered when I soft reset the phone. When I shut the phone down and started up again, the registry writes was remembered. To see if you have the same problem with 545, just write something in reg, soft reset and go back and see if that what you wrote still is there.

It could be a installed prog within the build or something I installed

hey X-pro

Is this referring to the sms reply issue?

EDIT: Thanks X-Pro. You were right. One of the program did not install properly once I remove the program, the sms was back and working as it should be.

Thanks

Just installed 2345 Premium, and I really love it. The only question I have is around Cell Broadcast messages. I've never seen this before, but now the Cell Location Broadcasts pop-up and appear in my TXT messages. I want to leave the service enabled (as I'll need it for local weather, etc. yes?) but I don't want to receive the messages as actual TXT. Any ideas?

To everybody, regarding very slow sms-ing:

I have changed (favorite hackings): Threaded SMS to "on" and then "off" again.

No threaded sms (i don't really care) but its now much faster! :)

Hi Ock

I am curious, with the M2D Classic, does it support multiple calendar entries?

Will try to add that in future versions :)

Internet throught Mobile carrier is not working at all!!! I mean 3G and GPRS connection!

With Wi-Fi everything is working ok.

At my other mobile (nokia e65) and with the same sim internet is working.

When I open IE or Opera it connects to 3G (WIND GR) but cannt open any page!!!!!

Plz help :*(

Try the steps on my second post.

Hi Ock, thank you for your amazing work! Greatest Roms ever tried!

I love your titanium rom, always fast and relable.

I was hoping... Can you put the Ezinput kb in your next titanium rom? I'd really love to have it....

Most probably not, as it disables the camera button in camera mode. :P Not sure whether there's a fix for this that preserves t9 in ezinput.

Cool, thanks for telling!

For others: the slow s2u2 is fixed! ;) Now it works as it should! :P -get the new version!

Yup, just noticed that as well. Ram usage is low as well.

Unfortunately this is a problem with most m2dv2 builds, not sure how to fix that.

Anyone experiencing this problem on other versions e.g. Titanium? I'm trying to track down the cause.

Tks! Updating first page...

Have seemingly fixed the SMS bug i had by a re-flash to premium, I think it must have been carrier settings after all.

Loving the premium. Trying to get iGO8 Amigo to run on this rom with no success... anyone else got it running on Premium or other versions of OCK's ?? What are you guys using on this rom? Any hints or tips ?

Love ur work OCK :)

Was figuring out the sms reply problem, may have a hint where the problem lies. :)

For those using M2D classic, install the attached cab and let me know if it fixes the issue with sms reply button not working.

Soft reset after installation. This disables some outlook enhancements in M2D classic which I suspect causes the problem.
